If you're gonna survive this, I'd like to express an idea to you. You need a sustainable food source.
Mushrooms grow in cold and damp places. They are somewhat nutritious.
You need a guns with plenty of ammo and you need frens.
You need access to fisheries.
You need to know others of different skill sets.
You need to speak softly with others who get emotional. But you'll be carrying around a big stick.

Man, eggs went up to ~$4.50 for 18 at my local supermarket, then they lowered it down to $1.89 because people stopped buying them.
I sure ain't buying no $10 hot dogs. Or hot dogs in general, but still.
Yep, my local store just did that same thing with eggs.
Also my store has free giveaways, and they are almost all plant-based/vegan one way or another. Yum, pea burgers.
Yep, we also had that promo. Frozen impossible sausage. They were fully stocked. I didn't see one person with it in their cart.
LOL. They cannot give that stuff away when there is meat available. Looks like they will get rid of meat.
I'd like to see how they are going to get rid of fish. Them oceans sure are mighty big.
They kept everyone off the beach for a whole summer. Stopping commercial fishing is as easy as the lock down. Don't give out license. Enforce poaching with drones.
Well, I'd be fishing if things ever took a turn.
Even crabbing, and I'm not a big crab guy (and I'm from Baltimore hon). There's not much surveillance they can do if you just drop some crab pots and leave and retrieve them later.
They are burning down food processing plants to make more room for bugs.

Yes. Control the oil to control nations. Control the food to control the people.
There will be no famine bar you being locked tight in your house while being denied to the supermarket by your governor over "covid case loads";
or;
America collapses into Civil War, everyone starts fighting for control over the Midwestern grain belt, and Californian government puts "slaughtering of counter-revolutionary" elements over everything else, causing speculation of food.
TL; DR THEY DO NOT NEED TO BURN SILOS, THEY JUST NEED TO SPECULATE FOOD.
They just stock the food in supermarkets, silos, whatever that doesn't get you get them and leave them to rot in those places under some excuse like: "deadly pandemic" or "war rations".
Seems like the food shortages and price hikes are just from shipping issues and gas going up.
They have been fucking with farmers for multiple decades already.
