To me, it's not that there weren't a bunch killed in the camps (the pictures don't lie), it's always come down to the numbers of HOW MANY were killed.
And frankly, lots of others besides Jews were killed, and I'm sick of the Jews making it out like it was only them.
It was quite obviously supply lines being cut and the camp internees being the last on the list to get any food & medicine. The fantasy that the nazi's just wanted to kill a bunch of people for no real reason is propaganda. Hitler wanted to send the jews to israel and that's what he was doing until the allies stopped him.
To you first sentence, totally agree. To your second, agree, they had reasons, reasons not everyone agrees with today, or even then, for that matter. To your third? Meh, Hitler wanted the kill the Jews or expel them. He did both. It's just hard to fight a two front war and kill so many people and dispose of them.
If Hitler wanted to kill the jews they would have done a much better job of it than they did. There wouldn't be all the survivors that you hear about.
I'd need to see some evidence that Hitler actually wanted to kill the jews. He wanted them gone, no doubt. And maybe he didn't really care much how they were treated in the camps, but mass extermination I'm not seeing much if any proof of. It's much easier to believe that they just ran out of supplies and got sick and died. And I also wouldn't believe what the russians had to say at the time either.
If Hitler wanted to take over Russia, he should have done a much better job of it and learned from Napoleon. That Hitler wanted, or tried, to do X and X didn't happen as intended is not evidence that Hitler didn't want to do X.
That said, I was a bit surprised to learn a few years ago that there is some disagreement on this, i.e., that Hitler wanted the Jews expelled not dead, but the Mohammedians didn't want them either, so the fall back plan was killing them.

[edit for clarity]
If he wanted to kill them then why did they keep them in camps and give them medicine and there are so many survivors?
Seems like a waste of resources during a war.
I'd never question the 6 million, it just makes me wonder.
Because Europeans don't gun down people in the street and bayonet babies, like the Chinese and Japs and Mohammedians do, when they are on about a mass killing.
So many survivors? Well, because the churn at the camps. Survival was less than a year or so, but hey, if fresh prisoners are always coming in and the camps held a lot of people, there will be survivors and lots of them.
As for giving them medicine, I am admittedly ignorant about that, other than wouldn't that be better saved for troops?
I doubt Hitler wanted to send jews to Israel, as there was no israel back then, it was created after ww2, like 1948.

Palestine existed unofficially, it's wasn't an "ethically clean" Jewish country/area but a lot of Jews did live there at the time so it makes sense to deport them to there.
Of course there's a globalist narrative that don't want you to know that, same narrative doesn't want you to know that Judea declared war on Germany long before WW2, the Jews in Germany where essentially enemies of the state, and prisoners of war.
