If Hitler wanted to take over Russia, he should have done a much better job of it and learned from Napoleon. That Hitler wanted, or tried, to do X and X didn't happen as intended is not evidence that Hitler didn't want to do X.
That said, I was a bit surprised to learn a few years ago that there is some disagreement on this, i.e., that Hitler wanted the Jews expelled not dead, but the Mohammedians didn't want them either, so the fall back plan was killing them.

hitler actually went against the advice of , krups, rohmmel, himmler AND goehring. they all said "do not attack russia NOW. wait until we win the western front. build up the empire more, use your pact with stalin as a firewall, so we dont get engaged in two fronts!"

I remember reading a while ago that Russia was preparing for an invasion of Western Europe that Germanys strike caught them offguard messed them up big time. Hitler supposedly captured intel on the future movement in and decided to move first.
Soviet always wanted a west coast in defense towards the US, and if it wasn't for the nazis rebuilding Germany and preparing it for war they might have actually succeeded. A weak Europe with minimal help from the US might not have been able to resist a Soviet invasion.
And if that would have happen, who knows, maybe they could have won the cold war as well. The German scientists did a lot for the US space program and the development of the nuclear bomb, if they worked for Soviet instead then perhaps Soviet could have conquered the world in just a few decades.
I think this is why the globalists really hates the Nazis, and always tries to associate patriots and nationalists with the nazis. They wanted Soviet to conquer the world. But the nazis fucked up their plans so they had to delay everything, rethink, do decades of preparation then release the plandemic in 2020 in a new attempt to conquer the world with global communism.
I have read, that if Germany had concentrated on England, they would have reached a peace deal with them through attrition, as Germany couldn't invade and frankly, didn't want to.
You need to read a but more about what happened with Napoleon in Russia.
