he is able, but not willing. That does not make him malevolent, its his intentional design choice because otherwise we do not have free will

This. We have Natural Law, which does not change, and we have Free Will. Free Will is the chaotic component added to Natural Law.

Yes, children’s cancer is a part of “free will.”

There are many horrible aspects of life that could have been omitted while keeping “free will” intact.

“He” (god) is either a cruel, tortuous being, or non existent.

There is no middle ground.

And you honestly believe that, don’t you.

Cancer was written about by the Egyptians.

5000 years ago.

And if you’re a good boy, you’ll get a prize when you die and all of your relatives and loved ones will be cheering! Even your dead dogs will be there!

Actually, he makes a good point. Mark Passio explains it very well in his Natural Law seminar. We are subject to Natural Law and Free Will.

ScutFarkus is a shill, thus he doesn't have free will.

He's trying to cope.

It’s a fairy tale told to low IQ, easily influenced people in a last ditch effort to keep them in line.

“Remember, he’s always watching.”

In my (anecdotal) experience, people are usually indoctrinated into religion by their family and peers.

Some escape and gain perspective and may test the waters of other religions, such as Buddhism, but most stay with what’s comfortable and familiar.

The sense of community people gain from religion can sometimes be what keeps them in it, despite knowledge of such heinous practices as shuffling pedophile leaders around the country, in an effort to suppress the truth.

Crabs in a bucket, if you will.

There’s certainly an end to what any teacher can show you. Even psychedelics.

As Alan Watts once said, “if you get the message, hang up the phone.”

What makes a man think?

What his body is?

What his mind is?

What compels him to try and describe or understand what he is feeling, or seeing, or what reality is?

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?

Yes, because Humans are willing to prevent evil. They are sometimes able and sometimes not.

Then he is not omnipotent.

Yes, because Humans are willing to not be omnipotent. Humans have free will, but can also be deterministic.

Is he able, but not willing?

He is able and willing, yet also not able and not willing.

Then he is malevolent.

One might think...

Then whence cometh evil?

When people feel betrayed, hurt or traumatized. When they are uneducated, and deprived of experiences and quality of life.

Is he either able nor willing?

He is able and willing, yet also not able and not willing.

Then why call him god?

God is good. We want his name to be that, instead of "Bad".

We want mankind to make a choice, choose that God can be good, and live your life proving that.

You forget that on this train of logic, we the humans were the first to make the biggest dick move dude. It literally didn't have to be this way and we weren't supposed to live in this hell hole and yet here we are and until I get to leave, I'm gonna live my life as close to God as I can because this place bites the big one and it only gets worse. Good luck man.

Just be sure to look for god within. Be weary of anyone or anything external.
