That's absolutely outrageous. Time to start fining the companies so blatantly discriminating against those whose political ideologies differ. How is this even legal in the USA?

It's not illegal. The main issue is not the discriminating part. The main issue is the near monopoly. If there wasn't a monopoly, if VISA blacklists you, you go to the other side of the street and sign a contract with the competitor. Problem is now that the same people own the company, the competitor, the second competitor, the international company trying to break into the country, and all the up and coming challengers.

Why would it not be illegal? They can't discriminate based on race, sex, sexual orientation and things like that but they can discriminate based on political leanings? I'm not saying the monopoly part isn't bad, been screaming about this for years that it's wrong, but I can't understand how all of these sites can just discriminate against people and claim the people are promoting violent rhetoric even when they are not. I hope to hell this backfires on all of these corporations and they get a well-deserved smackdown. They have far too much power and influence.

They invent special words - "diffamation", "hate speech" and all other crap for it. They label everything they want with that words and it became "not kosher" for everybody in business. If some business have a deal with you, marked as supporter of "diffamation" or "hate speech" that business is marked too.

Yes, it is. But they don't care. It had to be stopped at the moment when ADL was established. Now it is too late.

Correct. You can't discriminate based on race and sex because there's laws that stop that. The logic is that race and sex are immutable properties of your person, while politics are not. (you can change your politics if you want to associate with someone)

Federally, sexual orientation used to be something you could discriminate against until the supreme court found new rights that aren't written in the constitution. (how a "right" can force someone else to do something is beyond me)

In my opinion the problem is not only the monopolies but the fact that we think corporations should have rights to do what they want. They only exist because of the government.

you would think the main issue would be political retribution.

now, i can't sit down at my local spot and beat the shit outta people who don't vote the way i like and you sure as hell can not break them using the government.

after all, they are doing business as.. and have laws to follow..

political violence is illegal.

What about banking regulations?

The people that write the regulations are usually from and by the same people that practice what I just said. In example, it is said that the democratic party leadership and the social network executive positions is a revolving door.

So you are saying that all companies should serve all customers, no matter what?

I' saying that if a business is forced to serve those it opposes ideologically (like a gay marriage) but is NOT forced to serve those it opposes ideologically (Trump supporters) then it is discrimination or worse.

Don't bend to the will of tyranny.

I don't think it is bending to the will. It is opposite. I don't want to be a part of such society, made from NPC's and other beings without a smidgen of curiosity and ability to think logically. Accepting that society and being the part of it - that is bending to the will of tyranny.

Oops haha no more job (aka food clothing and shelter).
I lived through this in the 80s when it came from the Right and I got in trouble for wearing wrongthink t-shirts or things like dungeons and dragons, metal music, etc. Now it comes from the Left.

I believe this is why Trump is rushing to get all the Holes filled when he destroys these Vile Leaches for Crimes against Humanity, and with them, everything they own including their Companies. Would be great if the Government put those seized Resources into the Small Business Grant in order to help our Small Business Owners get their Shops opened back up. Speaking of Trump, how to did the call between Him and Gab.com go? With Gab being glitchy from the high influx of Users, I have been staying away as not to burden your System anymore than it already is.

This will get worse when you realize that digital currencies will soon be the default option for all countries. Cash will be illegal and your bank account will be at the whim of your political opponents and corporations (even moreso than now).
