Heh, I try helpfulness; then I let others decide. Trying brevity instead: My last reply was in about an hour, and so is this one (hover for timestamps); this evening I'm browsing and doing other work. Don't read too much into anybody's habits. My last paragraph above is the TLDR.

I said, I'm very interested in folks that might be able to prove me wrong and/or improve my views. You've got some insights and I like interacting with them. Coming from the trad church but with lots of nontrad pieces, ultimately I believe we can all agree on truths if we are in core agreement at pursuing truth at all costs. Secondarily, I wanted to give you positive suggestions for Scored generally (the mod of c/TheNarrowWay is very close to your views). If you don't want to keep explicating your views, that's your privilege.

The cascade limit is about 24 or 28, but that's only for organization; if you ever get an error replying to someone that seems to be due to a long cascade, simply copy the reply to clipboard, go to the OP (e.g. click permalink or context), and paste it as a new reply to OP with the ping of the other's name (like u/SwampRangers) added. I haven't heard that DMs are prohibited to newcomers; if so then it should fade soon as you contribute even brief comments, but it might just be your trying to DM someone who blocks all (the admins are big on privacy and so they don't even publish all the interface quirks). If you want me to DM as test, let me know.

TLDR: Spacetime limits are yours to choose; many of us are regulars who talk to everyone (beware us!); in particular I'm interested in anyone who pursues truth at all costs; so I'm looking forward to your thoughts on the 3 points I closed with (click context to see).

Okay, trying to follow, and I appreciate very much your (relatively) cogent explanation, James! .... First, I'm hearing the Jewish God involves "this divine spark or spark of the Moshiach", the "wrong God", then that Jesus says "find your own divine spark and each one of us must discover it" as if that's different; but it sounds the same to me. It also sounds the same as the imago Dei taught in Christianity. In reading the rest I don't find my question resolved because I don't see a difference between what the Jews at large (all sects) believed about this image (tzelem) and what Jesus believed about it; the differences were elsewhere. Second:

We must do the same thing as Jesus did. He showed us the way, we must follow.

We were just discussing that Jesus shows the Way and is the Way. I do believe that everything Jesus did as a human is what humans are capable of doing (plus greater works, John 14:12). We are to be one with him without any confusion in which one of us is what another is. That unity is called marriage. That leads to the question, when he "merged his consciousness with the consciousness of the universe", and Jesus and the Consciousness were one, was that a doing or a being?

Now I continue looking into demiurge(s) and finding interesting details that have changed over time. Demiurge is the Greek version and means public servant or architect, but is the last of the dodecad which ultimately comes from the ogdoad. But the ogdoad comes from Egypt (which literally makes the demiurge descended from Kek), and the Egyptian form comes from a branch allied to an old Semitic form reflected in the ancient legend of Eve (Hawah) bearing a boy and girl consistently every year. So it seems to me that ultimately the gnostic demiurge comes from some worshipped ancestor, someone who templates over both Cain and Lamech but may be historically distinct from both.

However, that leaves us searching for the attributes of the true God instead. I don't accord the attribute of being the true Architect (as public servant) to any creature but only to the Original (the Architect of architects). I don't accord the attributes of self-existence and power of force (which were intended by the term "Yah Sabaoth") except to the Monad. And I don't accord the attribute of being the final say on how things will work out for good to some subluminary, because I think the Source does cause all things to work out for good to the righteous (Gen. 50:20).

Finally, you seem to imply you have an answer as to those who don't desire the burden of responsibility. I wouldn't call that "normal" but it's clear that there are shortcuts people take instead of growing in the liberty that comes from enslaving yourself to the Monad. Now the fact seems to me that the mistakes and suffering are the path of growth, but the question is about those who don't want to grow and would rather eat Matrix fake steak instead. There are several ways that answer could go and (without leading the witness) I agree that gnostics didn't get any solution reported on their behalf.

So my lines of inquiry would be (1) differences between those Jews who rejected Jesus and those (Jews) who accepted Jesus, (2) differences between what Jesus did and what Jesus was, (3) differences between attributes of Monad and attributes of Dodecad. I appreciate it. If you want to redirect things to a new post (not necessary but sometimes helps organize), that could be c/HolySeekersOfTheWay, or it could also be c/TheNarrowWay (although I'm not currently contributing there and would only comment on that forum from a distance, out of respect for the moderator and for other reasons). There's nothing wrong with continuing here off-topic from OP though, since it's unmoderated; if we hit the maximum comment depth we can just start a new cascade of comments (pinging the user with "u/" and username, which gives the same notification as replying directly does).

I looked into the historical Jesus and I don't want any other. If the historical Jesus were not God in the flesh, I'd be wrong, and I'd want to know I was wrong. I don't see anything directly wrong with your last paragraph, although it neglects the phase that happened before the baptism which I don't believe in neglecting. Anyway, so we're looking at a historical Jesus who merged his consciousness with the consciousness of the universe over a certain period of time; please go on.

Add: All told, in one sense Jesus never claimed to be God on his own. In another sense there's evidence Jesus made lots of divine claims typical for being one with (God the Father) the consciousness of the universe, and so people can twist the meaning of "claiming to be God" on both sides of the question. I'm pretty comfortable with the meaning I understand about the divine claims and I love to hear new takes on them.

Actually when Win95 came out I kept Win03.11 because (I was right) I figured it would be 03.11 in about 8 years. DOS 6.22 FTW.

I have good news for you! I'm part of a group that has published the winning plan that will defeat big tech. It's published because nothing can stop it (no, not the NCSWIC, the other one). Do you want to join the winning side? All we need is to work out what local wins you really want to achieve and then integrate them into the plan. Are you able to speak positively about what you want instead of negatively about what you don't want?

Well, it's not very useful to answer questions if you're going to reject self-identification and claim to define all the terms, is it? What do you think I do that's Zionist? I don't have to have the same views as Scott Lively, though I don't think he's that Zionist either. Are you just larping to get me to criticize Israel? Why would Israel be such an important issue to you? You know we have a lot of people here larping to make certain things (usually Israel) look good indirectly by making their opponents look really stupid, right?

I cited people because they say reasonable things; you rejected the people without commenting on the merits of the reasonable things. If I had said the same things without quoting the people you might have interacted with the reason, but instead I thought it important to quote my sources, and you showed an ad hominem debate style twice in a row.

I agree with you that Christian Zionists, defined as favoritists toward the Jews and Israel, have been an important driver in creating Israel, so I didn't comment on it. But you act as if I didn't answer the question of why I'm a supporter when I'm not a "supporter" of the state. It stands or falls on its actions like any other nation, and I said (happening to select an Arabic word, for which I don't follow your tangent at all) that it's actions are in a low point lately (you seem not to have noticed the definition when you quoted the etymology).

So if your plan is to double down with wifebeater fallacies, refusal to agree on definitions, and ad hominems, I'm not sure this board is the place for you. I asked you what you believe about Jesus and your answer amounts to "not that" but you cannot give a positive overview of what you're committed to. A lot of people here are committed to seek the truth at all costs, and some decline to make that commitment and they wind up trusting themselves while believing they trust nobody, or committing some other basic logic contradiction. But if your arguments are full of logical fallacies why would I seek evidence that your foundational position isn't a contradiction?

SwampRangers 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't count myself a Zionist. I'm sold out to the Jesus who revealed himself to me. The state of Israel can be praised or criticized like any nation when it does good or bad; it's in a nadir these last few years. But believing in sharing Jesus with everyone I believing in building bridges and have special concern with building bridges to and from the Jews. That is, we should all come to see Jesus as he truly is, and Jesus speaks of his people as his bride which culturally means sharing in all his human powers and titles (and all the divine potential that entails), including being the Anointeds of our generation.

Trusting nobody is a great start. I tried it but then realized I was trusting myself to do the distrusting right. I doubted everything but like Descartes realized I couldn't doubt that I was doing the doubting. Bob Dylan said you gotta serve somebody. So looking at all the things in the cosmos I could serve, I came to determine that the Jesus who revealed himself to me was the best one on all counts; and that I don't have to sweat anything anymore because I can't keep myself in his hand but he can keep me. And as Ann Coulter says of Christianity, if you can find a better offer, take it! HTH.

Good link, there are definitely intentionally different perspectives, but the chart also overextends its case such as giving the impression that "male" and "female" are plural when they aren't.

So we can talk c/FlatEarth (mine) or c/flatearthresearch (another guy's). I love apocryphal writings and they are allowed at c/Christianity (the original Christian forum, where I became the most active mod), but some might prefer c/Faith (mine) or c/ChristianAnarchism (nobody's). A friend just started c/HolySeekersOfTheWay and is open to apocrypha too, that's new so you can propose direction there if you like. There are more.

So I trust you accept James, since he's in Josephus? Note that when James says be a Doer of the Word, Hebrew for doer is Oseh, and I think the best etymological theory is that Osey became Essene. John and Jesus were a lot more Essene than people realize, because there were not just the cave Essenes, but a much broader supporter Essene network that lived in the towns but paid for the cave work to be done. The reason the Essenes vanished is twofold, the cave people couldn't keep up after life changed for everyone in 70, and the town people all became Christians and many of them dutifully headed for the hills in 68 following Jesus's prophecy. So they are a huge strand of the primitive church that (like others, including the Gentile) contributed to what the church was by the time of Polycarp and Irenaeus.

Hey Vlad, this is a fun conspiracy but I'm not sure what dots can be connected.

I see that there is fog of war about it, namely "her coffin was actually filled with secret documents buried to escape scrutiny" and "she was buried on the golf course to get a tax writeoff", which are apparently secondary theories that distract people from the core and paint unhelpful side narratives.

I see that the primary force of the event was to delay Trump's deposition to Tish James, but I'm not confident that's a big deal in the scheme of things. Also there seems to be no continuing "legs" to the story because nothing else is obviously tied in later to keep people's interest.

So my first take is that Ivana may have actually died earlier for other reasons and a decision was made to postpone the announcement of the death until it could be used to upend a deposition schedule to Trump's advantage. That would explain the initial oddities, but it would only take it one layer back to what other reasons she would have blunt torso injuries in prior time. Perhaps spy work caught up with her? Trump would have superior intel and control but would not have sufficiency of either SS or personal security to protect against a murder if it happened after Biden's larp began (30+ years divorced). But it could be presumed that (as with the Paul Pelosi case) the first responders might have been embeds acting on a contingency instruction to secure the site and prevent leakage of the event. Nobody dies on their death date anymore, that's such an old-fashioned idea.

Welcome back, just a reminder that c/FlatEarth is interested in your work.

The "firmament" is made of matter, of course, what might be loosely called "waters" (hydrogen and oxygen), but it's been "stretched out" to an extreme degree. There are three heavens of different character, and it's probable there are also different dimensional statuses involved as Paul and John show. Were you looking for something more specific from that?

One thing that happens at Scored is autofilters remove links that they don't like. When this happens everyone else sees "Comment removed by spam filter, pending further review." instead of your comment. You can find a log URL that will show the first line of the removed comment ["the origin of man is deliberately being covered up from us They are covering a lot more than you think about the original man. There are [two creation stories of humans in the Bible.](https://4."]. All you need to do is repost it without the link (and possibly tell people less directly how to find the link).

c/Conspiracies has no active moderators; admin names are on the list and they are active but very rarely step in here. So it's a Wild West forum right now. Don't sweat it.

You might be interested to know that basically no readers of Genesis had any problem with creation being told from two perspectives until 19th-century German higher critics came in and started writing theories about how the Bible was contradictory and recent and how nobody needed to believe in God or live morally. Little bit of pandering to their own deviances there. Quite an interesting rabbit hole. Those of us in the 21st century who are still troubled by Biblical accounts are not reading them in their cultural setting. But, as I said, I'm still interested in what the real Truth is as the two accounts have much to say about Reality that is unappreciated by Christianity (notice the movement of gold, for instance) and there is much around the text for us to learn from.

Welcome to c/Conspiracies! Obviously the moon landing would be much cheaper if it was faked so all the money would have been funneled into ARPAnet with a small cushion for doing enough science to keep their filmmaking relevant.

Jesus is who he is. He knows better who he is than I do, so I nominally defer that subject to him. But sometimes he lets me blather my opinion about him. More objective figures are about only 2/3 of nominal Christians are in the dark about this. Which aspect of who he is are you here to share? A couple of details and I could direct you to the most interested parties. Thanks!

Mrs. Ham is said to have been black. Genetic diversity before the flood worked the same way as afterward, the flood just created a bottleneck and three emergent genotypes.

The N word, first seen ca. 1775, is an "alteration of earlier neger, from Middle French negre, from Spanish or Portuguese negro, from negro black, from Latin niger" according to m-w.com.

Because prots, Catholics, and Orthodox are all not Biblical Christians as they believe in some things like pugatory and the abilities of dead people.

Was wondering how you would exegete 1 Cor. 3:12-15 KJV ....

Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Guy, it's by an anon and follows the patterns of other jokes in the Talmud. It's a pagan, a Roman, and a Jew walking into a seance. It's already advertised as incongruous because the questionable Jew conducting the seance shouldn't have been doing so in the first place. The punchline is that even though all are speaking of torment the first two say to fight the Jews and the third says to convert to Judaism because he still likes the Jews. It has nothing to do with any theology and is more closely related to any American joke about any conspicuous person going to hell when people don't know theologically if s/he did or not.

You just commented on genetic fallacy. References to names can be determined based on context. I looked at all the Yeshu passages, there are three men named Yeshu from three different centuries (including Jesus) who each have their own passages, then there are a couple passages like this one that just mention Yeshu generically. The pagan is Balaam, who could've meant other people who had been compared to Balaam, and the Roman is Titus, who could've been father Titus Vespasian or son Titus Caesar. So it's a generic reference, not a specified person; it probably reflects on all three Yeshu figures.

There are also quite a few ladies named Mary in the Bible and I have never gotten them all straight. Every time the Bible says Mary it refers to one of them actually doing the thing it says she did. But there are debates about how many and whether some were the same person, and there are questions about some passages which person identified from elsewhere was intended. And Gittin 57a is a passage from which the particular Yeshu can not be specifically identified; in fact there are at least four readings for the name of the Jew (blank, Yeshu, Yeshu of Nazareth, and a sinner of Israel), so we can't insist on which is the original, though I think "Yeshu" is the likeliest. We can infer that some Jews regarded the passage (nonbindingly) as referring to Jesus of Nazareth, but we cannot infer that that is the original Talmudic text given that the Talmudists poke equal fun at three Yeshu figures.

I appreciate your challenges, but they might be better formed as questions rather than as an appeal to ignorance and a false equivalence. You might take the hint that, since I literally found 53 misquotes of this passage and listed them in the link, I might have a bit of evidence of the joke claim therein.

The only solution is for the people to run our own countries as a team of equals without authoritarianism.

Sounds like elevating Americans as a god class and everyone else as a slave class.

Not that I'm against each nation doing that for themselves in their own borders.

Do all that you can to support voluntaryism, the Zero Aggression Principle, and common law, and I'm behind you.

Because it's respectfully libertarian, it's very slow, and gets punctuated by others who play unfairly.

But keep preaching this message unfiltered, undistracted, and it will take in due time.

OP questions Israel and the Jews on five important points with the true status of the religion while demonstrating that questioning Israel and the Jews with falsehoods, illogic, and probable ill speech of the dead only serves to advance Jewish causes by shilling. It's not ultimately "anti-Semitic" for someone to larp being anti-Semitic so badly that it makes anti-Semites look really stupid: it's pro-Semitic shilling. Please see my related post.

I get paid twice as much for this comment because twice nothing is nothing.
