I personally wouldn't get an implant. Natural teeth aren't connected directly to the bone, they have something called a periodontal membrane or periodontal ligament. It holds the tooth in but it also functions as a bacterial seal for the bone. Implants don't have this, they allow infection from the mouth to travel deep into your bone. Peri-implantitis with implants is also very common. Literally a new word invented for a new disease. Something like 20-30% of implants suffer with this, and it means bacteria have eaten away enough of your bone where it's visible as bone loss on x-ray. Imagine what that does to the rest of your body.
This 100%. Your house is the most expensive thing you'll ever own in your life time. Can you imagine going on holiday and coming back to find some criminals broke in, changed the locks and are now the legal 'owners'? And you still have the pay the mortgage and the bills? Absolutely freaking insane.
