This is the media trying to reclaim legitimacy - very slowly, they are going one direction on this, the same way they went one direction with JFK.
The establishment always needs to be unified in order to have legitimacy - people need to realize that. Thats all this is about, not the truth.

Instead, our highest aim is material safety. In general, most of us will not sacrifice our income and familial security for a higher purpose beyond money. To do so would be to have faith in our Higher calling.
The irony is that God will end up providing for our earthly needs once we would do that, but that would suggest that we have a Spiritual Reason for our actions.
Scientific reasoning would have none of that. Everything is material, and must have a material, measurable reason for the action behind it. Because of that, everything delineates to the Almighty Dollar.
Joe Rogan was absolutely following his path in life all the way up to the point that he got paid. And when faced with a loss of material security for his higher pursuit, he backs down.
