I was going to add (with an LOL of course) that the fact that it is worse in retrospect is kinda a Catch-22.
Like, should I find it reassuring that it has happened twice and I've been perfectly fine, or should I find that even more horrifying because it drops your guard?
AND, perhaps, that's a big bit of it. I know for certain that one time it happened was after playing pool, and there's no doubt that pool requires a certain level of zen. And maybe zen is just more being able to ALLOW your motor system to take the reins. So you are putting yourself "at risk" for such an occurrence.
I wouldn't really hesitate to hazard a guess that you were probably doing something zen-like before you had your driving episodes. But of course, you can find the zen in almost anything if you put your mind to it. It probably helps more if what you are doing involves attention and fine motor control, at least similar to the level that driving would involve. And I know that when I feel more zen-like, my general focus on visual input is far stronger than normal, as in I don't even focus my eyes directly on things that much, and peripheral vision becomes clearer and more noticeable.
I hope I can buy some good Ceylon Tea
I was floored the first time I had Darjeeling tea. I've only had that and Ceylon tea a couple of times each, but ya know, what was the cost of those teas? And I don't mean the price.
Any time people bring up the Nazis, I ask them why Britain gets a pass for "colonialism". There's no good answer, ever. How many people did they kill? Is there even a good estimate? 100 million, give or take. But, Hitler's bad, mmmkay?
If you have ever been to the "it's all fake" website, I'm pretty sure he goes over how the British destroyed a lot of interesting temples in India and even rebuilt them, but removed certain elements. One palace or temple complex I saw had a mermaid logo that was suspiciously close to that of the "new" old Starbucks logo, and it makes me wonder how far cultural appropriation might really go.
I've left this tab open a few days because there was a couple things I was going to say on the topic...
But I reread your comment and it made me think of the star of David and what Dan Brown says about the up and down triangles representing the "sacred masculine and feminine", and think about it....the star of David represents combination of the "sacred" masculine and feminine.
So, perhaps the star of David is just a simple symbol for ancient, sacred sex cults. Seems quite possible that it could have spread from India, who, ya know, aren't known for their ornately carved sex temples or anything. Perhaps like-minded people just met over time via the Silk Road or otherwise.
The one thing I also wanted to comment is that one time, I had a short dream, woke up, and a female voice came to me (and I swear it sounded like there was faint radio static before the voice "came in"), and it said, "Shakti, she is not yours."
I was completely befuddled and had never heard the word shakti before, and of course I looked it up and found out all sorts of interesting stuff. I was raised Catholic, so hearing the name of a Hindu deity/concept is pretty crazy. There's more to that story, but, ya know, I can talk all day here.
I meant to reply earlier, but man I've had this happen to me twice. Both times were later at night driving, and the craziest part to me is that when you "come to", it all seems so nonchalant.
One of them was a solid 30-40 minutes of driving. It's much worse in retrospect than when it actually happens.
Well, it's for damn sure interesting that the anahata has in the center what looks like a symbol remarkably close to the symbol for Saturn (but upside down).
And, of course, it's in the center of a hexagram (or shatkona in Hinduism).
Also interesting is that the "Anahata Nad refers to the Vedic concept of unstruck sound (the sound of the celestial realm)", and Saturn has those rings and the speculation about their form and function.
notice that this label doesn't imply the abuse of children.
Perhaps a better term should be used then. Problem is most terms aren't even strong enough to connote the proper amount of casual disregard for human life...abuse, molest, pervert, exploit.
LOL, the closest I can find is vilipender. Never heard that before. They despise children, not love them.
Hate to Burst somebody's Bubble, but that's worse than Reddit, at least they didn't get involved as if to set people up for bans.
Those caps had me thinking of Media Matters, then Correct the Record, and then I looked that up and there was a CTR task force called "Breaking Barriers". LOL
Like a broken record, the only thing you can do when talking to me is accusing me of supporting Nazis while being unable to explain why that would be a bad thing.
You support the NAZIS. Tell us why that is so good for us all.
Squeeze hard enough, and globe luxation will make any eye a fisheye lens.
