If reality were truly a school for learning like some think / say, then the memory wipe upon birth makes literally 0 sense.
The only harmony I can think of between the school of learning and the prison planet theories is that it really is a prison planet, but the point of it is to escape the trap and not trust anyone, including the spirit guides, upon their word or even action.

Honestly I don't think they (the demiurge) "needs" our energy for anything. I think they are just straight up choosing to be evil for evils sake. They like it. They are already infinitely powerful, having access infinite intelligence. But we are infinitely powerful as well. They (the demiurge) can't kill us, so the only way for them deal with any "threat" , anything that would make it act in a more positive direction, would be to contain that which would make you more positive. The only way to contain something infinitely powerful (you and I) is for it (us) to willingly choose to be contained.
Thus the reincarnation trap.
Now the trick is for us to fully "realize" that we are infinitely powerful. How one should go about doing that, I don't know. I've heard "ego death" but thats basically the death of your unique personality, which seems like a bullshit "solution" to me.

I disagree that technology has made communication worse. I think that if it can even be said that communication is worse, its because people chose to do that the evil people in power want them to, use social media, instead of visiting their grandparents. Those are personal choices and uses of a tool, that does not mean technology has its own evil force.

Communication is much better, I can talk to anyone in the world. Like in ukraine, I can clearly see thats bullshit because everyone and their grandmother is carrying around a camera and civies aren't getting shot. I can talk to russians about what their opnion is about whats going on. Sure, I agree we're censored but that just shows If you're only talking to bugaboos thats your choice.
The negatives you mentioned aren't from communication itself like I was talking about, they're specifically from social media. Social media is a manipulation of the improved ability to communicate which has been designed as a tool by the people in power to destroy you by hyperfocusing on the negative aspects like narcissism.
Positive improvements on communication are what we are doing right now, discussing. I wouldn't have learned nearly this much about philosophy pre-internet era, I would have had no one I could find irl to discuss it with. Now I can find others in an instant and positively benefit myself and then others from my learning. And I do.
