This is interesting and I can imagine this scenario to a point. The point being for me the God that wakes up creation is still the same God that flooded the earth and the same God that wandered with his people in the desert and the same God that put himself on earth in human form and died so that I could be closer to him while I'm on this earth and who wants to hang out with me for eternity. I am not willing to forsake that for complete understanding as idiotic as that may make me on this earth. (But still always be questioning and thinking.) There are a lot of things I dont understand about spiritual beings and heavenly hosts and holy councils and the like, I should look into more deeply fer sure it's incredibly interesting. I will look into the Thomas book, doesn't ring any bells for me and this has been a nice reminder to study more. Cheers!
I am actually curious about when time started and humans and all that but I wasn't there and I dont trust what anyone tells me but I figure existence to be about 5-7 thousand years. As for why anything happens or doesnt I have no answers. The reason I say he didnt change is because he himself hasnt changed the way he deals with us is different than it used to be but that doesnt change who he is, I'm not sure how to be clearer on that but I wish I had a way. Maybe an example: you love chocolate but find out you are allergic, you now no longer eat chocolate but the allergy doesnt change the way you still love chocolate. Edit: I regret the example, can't figure a comparison.

He doesn't change in the way you understand it. The new covenant promises mercy through Jesus Christ and God promises not to spill his vengeance until the last days. In the old testament God pours out his wrath and justly so, as the situation demanded. The new covenant differs because Jesus is now the way to salvation as previously it was strict law abidance and sacrifice. Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice and it changed the way God deals with us. The guy hasn't changed he is still very much that wrathful, angry God you so much despise, the difference is he is now showing much mercy and grace. He is, was and always will be full of love and patience for us pitiful creatures.

You misunderstand jealousy, I think, its not such a negative connotation. Angry? Sure! Absolutely! The difference between the testaments are the convenant promises (from God to humans)within them and spoiler alert! Jesus changed the game. I very much hope to not be here when that convenant promise comes to fruition because angry jealous wont even begin to cover the destruction that will be poured out.
Everyone tries to discount Christ or twists scripture to their own ideals, this is wrong and evil. I do believe the God of armies is the one true God. Perhaps I am confused but they way I understand what you are saying is Yahweh is some usurper with war on the brain and it strikes me as blasphemous. I believe the God of creation did walk in the wilderness with Jews and that he chose them as his people and he was betrayed again and again and again and yet he still sought for us to understand his love and gave himself to die for the sin we cannot wash away. This God of armies is not the god of war though he wages it. God is love and he has given enough proof for those that wish to see.
First answer yes, second answer no, probably havent read the oldest scriptures. The problem for me is that there is literally nothing you can say or show me that will change my mind. I feel God and as much as reading and learning are fun and important, I know there are people sitting with him right now that couldnt read to save their life, pun intended, yet they are there. They love the real God without ever reading about the complexities of theology and mysticism.
Not the person you are waiting for but I must chime in. First impression: this is demon worship with extra steps. I fully believe there are other entities claiming to be 'Gods' for as long as time has existed, I also believe following these false 'Gods' is idol worship. These gods have power but its an evil power and it pales in comparison to the one true God's power, as he is happy to show you. I also fully believe that scripture has been lost and some of it even corrupted, shocking, I know, at the same time it is a living word that God chose to give us and I guarantee you will not be reading words alone in your head. God protects truth and justice and it has and will stand the test of time. My suggestion to you is to try again and open your heart to truth while searching through the corruption. Everything has been tainted by sin, everything you can imagine. God is the only one spared from that reality and he is the only hope any of us have.
