The Catholic Church claims that Jesus Christ was born on December 25, 1 BCE. However, it is greatly mistaken. The true date of Jesus' birth is Nisan 1, 5 BCE, which, if calculated correctly, corresponds to March 9/10 in the Julian calendar. He was conceived on Sivan 3, 6 BCE, which, if calculated correctly, corresponds to May 19/20 in the Julian calendar.
Jesus was conceived on the very day that the power of God covered Mount Sinai and gave Moses the law: Sivan 3 (Exodus 19:1, 16; Luke 1:35). For just as Mount Sinai was covered by the power of God, so Mary was covered by the power of God, and just as Moses received the Law, so Mary received the Son of God in her womb. And exactly 42 weeks later, Jesus was born on the very same day that God's tent was completed: Nisan 1 (Exodus 40:2, 34; John 1:14). For just as God's tent was completed, so too was the body of Jesus completed to be born.
It makes no sense that Jesus was born on December 25 because this date has no connection to the Old Testament. Jesus was certainly born on a significant day of the Old Testament. 1 BCE as his birth year also makes no sense because Herod died in 4 BCE. Jesus must have been born before 4 BCE. Catholics should wake up from their error and repent.
Because “BCE” is a jewish invention. Why would Christ have been born before he was born, anyway?
Dionysius miscalculated.
OP knows that I've proven Christ was born on 6 Oct at 3 a.m., 4 "BC" or Julian year -3, i.e. 3 years before Dionysius thought he was.
I don't think anyone can say with accuracy the exact day of his birth or return. It doesn't matter anyway. How you live and treat others is what is important
That's because Christian leaders chose that date to usurp the then popular religions that celebrated the winter solstice.
The December 25th date is associated with Sol Invictus. It was his birthday and is a holiday aligned with the winter solstice, where the sun or sun God dies and resurrects.

The holidays in the Hebrew writings were lunar calendar based. The holidays of the Mithraists were solar based. Early Christianity attached the name of Jesus to their Cosmic Christ and based things like the birth of Jesus on the solar calendar. It's also why Constantine declared Sunday the day of rest for the Roman empire, whereas the Sabbath day in a literal context would be at the end of the week on Saturday.
u/SmithW1984 What day does your Church teach that Jesus was born? From what it looks like, they teach it was December 25th, and the ones that celebrate on January 7th are aligning up for a December 25th date because they use a different calendar. Do you believe your divine institution is capable of being wrong?
You get your information from bad science fiction, which is arguably worse than Wikipedia. Even a cursory reading of the Bible is enough to prove your central idea wrong:
Prove it wrong then.
Check out the article https://sabbathsentinel.org/2016/10/13/constantine-march-321-ad/. It's not a hidden part of history that Constantine put out a law declaring Sunday to be the day of rest for the Roman empire.
As far as a literal Sabbath day goes, the whole thing involves resting at the end of a week, because that's the completion day. Hence, that would be Saturday with the calendars we use. Christians who believe Sunday is a Sabbath day got it from Sun God worshipers.
Sabbath has nothing to do with it.
Before 40 AD the Church observed what we know as Sunday as "the Lord's day." When was Constantine born?
Constantine was born on February 27, 272 CE. That law from Constantine officially declared a day of rest on Sunday. What day do many Christian groups consider the Sabbath? Sunday. What day is it in the OT? Saturday. Whether Constantine or your buds before 40 CE, seems kind of erroneous to think of Sunday as some kind of Christian Sabbath.
When was Jesus born?
Again you're wrong, because you forge ahead with nothing but your own assumptions.
Sabbath is irrelevant.
Jesus is an amalgamation of Balder, Hercules, Zeus and Osiris.
