You might want moderation that would remove shills and bots in here, while focusing on unifying this forum into a great power... Well, that's not the case with the current wanna-be moderators.
I saw how few users wanted to be mods and they got immediately shut down, while others pretend to have the popular vote, while it's a group that only upvotes themselves.
I started a discussion post about having moderators... https://conspiracies.win/p/1ARJvlfrlu/discussion-after-axeotlpeotl-lef/
I take the blame for that... I wasn't expecting how shills in here would use it to their advantage... But I must inform you of their deeds:
-
u/SwampRangers used my post to promote himself as a mod to the community - https://communities.win/c/Meta/p/1ARK0LXq6i/cconspiracies-has-had-no-active-/ (1 day after I posted my original topic, and make note that he hasn't done anything of value to be a mod.)
-
u/Graphenium used the idea for roundtables 2 days after my original post - https://conspiracies.win/p/1ARK0MgEYm/community-roundtable-proposal-wh/ (take into account that his posts before that were 9 months ago... https://imgur.com/a/OHeNCaR - alt account of someone else? Who is silent for 9 months but becomes active when a mod discussion comes around?)
I would be more willing to elect a person, who was constantly active and didn't care about this mod vote... A person, who actually cares about the community, and not just to promote themselves...
Are there any such people left in here?
Additionally, I would like to add u/JosephGoebbel5 as a phony, who only floods the forum here. He thinks that spamming is somehow helpful for him. Yet, he can't defend his Nazi position when I challenged him. (He is apparently a nazi... I never thought that would be the case for any conspiracy researcher, but he never heard of Thule society, or how the swastika is a Hindu symbol...)
Bottom line, I tried to make this place better and I only revealed the obvious shills.
This post is sharing my notes on what I learnt from my experience.
But I don't regret my attempt. It's better to try and fail than never to have tried at all.
My reply to u/Neo1 is:
I did promote myself and thought I had his approval to do so when he said he wouldn't be likely to be the mod, but when he withdrew his approval I stopped making light of myself. I am compelled to disagree with his idea that moderating a living Scored community for 5 years is doing nothing.
He also bites you for being helpful and actually being the most active person to directly answer his concern, by your hosting two roundtables proactively, which I answered separately.
I love this part:
With his psychological experience he is somehow self-unaware of the irony of asking a person to promote himself who doesn't promote himself. It's also reflectively ironic to ask someone to promote someone else when Neo is busy accusing people like you of being alts. But there can be no vote unless someone promotes himself or someone else. What a crowning illogic of all the ironies I've seen today, which is saying a lot.
The "good intention" to make this place better is lauded; it's also bog-standard and barebones. Looking forward to him rising above.
Once you didn't lie.
You used my post to promote yourself - absolute slime...
That's why you wrote:
Because you ONLY wanted to promote yourself.
infers self-promoters are slimes
promotes self as "approver"
of roundtablesand modmakerProve it, liar.
I see that I misread the comment where you were offended about not getting your approval. It didn't refer to roundtables but to my promoting the two of us after you suggested yourself as mod, suggested we fix the lack of mods, and then suggested you would work for me. So I struck "of roundtables".
At that same link I quoted you saying: "I agree - no moderation in quite some time... Seems like an echo chamber in here... And if we don't fix it, who will?" "But I suck as a moderator. I can flag things for you, if you want, but I wouldn't want to make the final decisions."
So you promoted yourself as an approver, and as a modmaker.
However, by proposing "Rules" for roundtables, from that same link, you do seem to have promoted yourself as an approver of roundtables too.
