Yea and it can't happen in this situation. Civil war in a republic requires that states elect governors who openly support succession. None of the US governors do.
So what do you get with civil unrest and no succession? Authoritarianism crackdowns. You are seeing the left support Ukraine and the Christian right support Israel. You are seeing the left support open borders and the right skipping due process of law for deportation. Both sides are being driven against the constitution.
Who is supporting not funding Ukraine or Israel? Who is saying the borders should be closed and people be processed for deportation, even if it clogs up the courts?
The most radical position in today's America is to reject both parties.

Do they even need a governor that advocates seccession? The only thing that matters is if the White House burns in fire and is sloshed in blood, and whatever Trump is doing now is essentially asking for it to happen. It's just one violent riot and a CIA bribe away before illegal immigrants, groypers and other degenerates start forming and latching onto far left and far right militia to defend themselves as the entire country becomes divided into seven warlord states. The essentials are all there thanks to Obama and and the first Trump presidency, and all it takes now is to burn the powder keg.
And even in the case where they somehow have to want to, California and Los Angeles is ready to secede from the Trump Administration at any moment.
Why not? The destruction of America will not come peacefully. There are lots of people who do not want to die over a single word. You'll have to find ways to exterminate these people. And their deaths will not be clean.
