It's not really a conspiracy anymore, per se, of how things are designed to make you addicted. But you can conquer these addictions, not learn to live with them.

The first thing I quit for good, except for Easter, Christmas, and Halloween is candy. Refined sugar hits that spot in your brain.

Then, with the grace of God, I quit porn years ago. It was a bit difficult at first, but anybody can quit that jew filth if they try.

I recently am coming up on one year without video games, and if you think that would be easy, honestly, it was harder than quitting porn. Having come to the end of that one year, I will trying out Minecraft for the first time, having shown to myself I can do this with a bit of grace.

I will be taking a year off social media with the start of the 40 days before Easter, also called Lent. Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Substack, this backwater...they all want your eyeballs and you have come to love that dopamine hit of some notifications. You know it and I know it.

This will be the last thread create or comment on before logging off this cul de sac of suck next Wednesday. I might come back after a year, but I might not.

Don't let Silicon Valley rule your consciences.
