Hamas isn't surrending (at least independent regiments), it is IOF partially leaving Gaza to reduce constant losses.
IOF had huge losses during past year, they are simply out of people now. If they continue, they will have to grab people from the streets, just like they do in Ukraine. But it will be Jews, not some Slavic people, they can't afford that.

On the face of it. Palestine defense forces (Hamas, Islamic Jehad, PFLP, etc..) all got what they wanted at the beginning of the war. At the cost of utter and complete destruction and annihilation of course.
It's just an agreement to ceasefire, Israel doesn't respect ceasefires for long.
Palestinians probably would like a break in order to retrieve their dead.
