I think people are getting tired of being debt slaves to fund Israel’s genocide of Christians and innocents. Who can blame them?
The concept of retirement has never made sense to me. It's better to have work to do. Nothing wrong with financial security, but I wouldn't want to live a life of leisure.
yeah it's totally sweet to work 60 years and have nothing to show for it. i think some people just can't find things to do on their own. everyone is different i guess
If you can work 60 years with nothing to show for it, that's mostly a you problem.
you must be a boomer who already owns a home and enjoyed the golden years of America if you don't think it's possible.
No, I'm a Millennial who despite f-ing up in his early years is still on track for retirement without needing social security. So if someone who screwed up that badly can do it (I screwed up high school and became a homeless addict after graduation), this generation has the wrong mindset.
Though, given that we seem to be entering end times rather quickly, I'm not so sure planning for retirement is even needed. Just go all in for the Lord.
exactly. we have no clue how quickly inflation will eat our savings or how many 401k funds will go bust. no one gets pensions anymore besides government workers and that will probably vanish some point as well. you should not blame the people for this though. it's obviously the policies. i don't blame people for spending what little they have now if they barely can scrape up an extra $50 extra a week. After a certain point it really doesn't matter. Save a few extra dollars that gets inflated away in a few years. Fuck it
In the short term things like this can happen. But if we are talking over 40-60 years historically there will be booms (and busts) to take advantage of if you don't give up. Yes they screwed us on pension / Social Security, that's why I don't plan on them.
I can only speak from my life experience, but when it came to my finances a lot of it was self imposed. Even after getting sober, I stayed in college longer than I should have, and didn't immediately chase money after graduation. Not to mention getting chronic illness from a bad vegetarian diet.
So much dumb crap I did, and still by God's grace I was able to grind enough to get into a good career. Would not wish those mistakes on my kids though.
But still, at what point in history could you make a living online as a skilled worker? It's a blessing, and there are still opportunities in this world. Even as it may be going to literal hell (but then again, it may not be yet).
Why the downvotes?
Loneliness kills, that is proven by science over and over again.
The jet ski and the reverse mortgage and the constant cruises won’t make you happy.
The elderly need to be more than Walmart and costco greeters, they need to create volunteer programs with a little pay and healthy food perks for our seniors. I would much rather grandma be reading at my local library instead of an HIVpositive tranny leaking last night’s semen injections on the carpet.
And fuck our culture for putting the elderly in care homes. Other countries don’t do that, unless they don’t have living family. I dont care if Grandpa has dementia, the family (friends, church, community) should pool their moneys and get a private nurse or a cousin in nursing school.
There are BIGGER issues here:
Like both parents working (iykyk)
Generational wealth destruction
Splintering of the family unit
Going off gold standard fully in 1971
Corporate offshore tax-havens
Social security is a literal ponzi scheme
Christian Culture replaced by protestant arena mega churches with ted talks, coffee bars, full rock bands, and Wwe-style smoke and lighting. Oh, and a certain blue and white flag.
Promotion of hedonistic consumerist individualism sprinkled with mindless and addictive programming via msm
This is how they kill 25% of an entire island country's population in the Khmer Rouge and this is how they will kill using the covid pandemic (Let me tell you it is not the vaccines, they just lock you down until you die).
Also the rest of the "bigger issues" is to keep you complacent. Just a part of the plan. When they start declaring the entire global population to be a part of the NWO, concentration camps start sprouting out like mushrooms, people get vanished and kicked off to gas chambers for heresy and you can be cancelled and executed with machetes alongside your entire suburb just because of one innuendo against the government, these people who have been conditioned to be lumpcakes will NOT survive. They will die by the trillions.
well said.
I'm with you on that. I plan to always work on something. Likely writing in my old age. People who lack that attitude can end up drinking their lives away.
Depends on your job, and physical health. A bricklayer who's 75 might need to retire.
From the moment of inception to the moment of death...the living heart is never at leisure. It's ones mind that can be licensed to leisure.
