we live in a society that supposedly votes extremely suspiciously close to 50/50 historically. in order for me to believe that this current situation is somehow in error, i would need to believe that feverishly competitive people would EVER allow something of this magnitude to fester until there is QUITE LITERALLY nothing effective that can be done about it. period zero.
what i find to be the FAR more likely scenario is that this is a 1 party system that offers the illusion of a democracy but in actuality is simply a mechanism that prefers instability because it is INSANELY easy to profiteer from.
