There was another recent ship event in a harbour where the computers went crazy and it started crashing into boats. These ships are highly connected and computerized these days and are most likely hackable to a certain extent.

Is it common practice for crews to work on bridges in the middle of the night? Part of me thinks, yes less traffic but also seemed unusual for lighting purposes but I know almost nothing of this field's practices.
Yes, much of the road work in high traffic areas occurs at night. They bring in very bright lights that are mounted on a trailer with the generator to power them. It's also common for road work to be done at night in the desert southwest during the summer because of intense heat. It's typically safer for the workers at night if appropriate barricades are in use. I still think something is fishy about this though

There's 6 construction crew members still missing, 2 were rescued. It is the only reference to possible casualties I've seen. Sorry for being vague.
