So imo it got raised from 14 to 18, but everyone abided by the common law until they infiltrated the government. So if you had sex with a virgin, you were bound to marry her if the parents found out or she wanted to get married.

But another thing is that the legislative branch, both state or federal cannot legislative for the age of consent, because both state and federal constitutions strictly prohibit the government from impairing the obligation of contracts. Therefore, you're supposed to go bo the common law. The reason why they keep on with this scam acting like they have the power is because it's too good of a business and nobody knows how to argue in court.

The mouth breathing conservatives that occupy this space would much rather the age of consent be lowered or eliminated.
