All these bunkers have a narrow window of usefulness. Enter too early and it becomes your prison. Enter too late, and well, you may not be able to enter at all. Live life, enjoy life and make some level of preparation. Too much prep and you can become a slave to the prep. What good will it do to have years worth of supplies if you have to leave them behind due to unforseen circumstances. A well rounded education regarding edible and medicinal wild plants, survival techniques and luck will go further in my opinion. Making it through the winter may be the biggest obstacle most will need to overcome
Remember the salt. Really cheap and really necessary. Cooking may not be a good option due to lack of firewood in some areas. I considered eating the beans as sprouts
Eh IMO, you're better off putting your money into a good hunting rifle, a good bow, and a good fishing pole whilst becoming proficient at all three. You're also probably going to need basic to intermediate medical (and their "wild" alternatives) knowledge. Also a plus would be, how to create homemade/archaic weapons.
You can build a quite powerful hunting/takedown bow out of PVC man. Doesnt have to be "the best" I have a pvc take down bow in my "travel bag". Here is a DIY vid on making one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9s1JQmYtDY
There was a show from the 50's my dad used to watch called Secret Agent Man where some guys were tricked into thinking nukes went off and they confined themselves in a bunker for the rest of their lives
Meh, I dont think any survival technique is going to help when its a 80000 year winter ^^.
Ton of bunkers were built in new zealand. And I remember one of the companies who builds these things saying its a several year wait on the list if you want one.
James Cameron is building his survival ranch in New Zealand.
Plenty are working as a group to build survival farms with a prepper expert JC Cole in Princeton and Poconos area.
Then there are the upscale millionaire class rental safe bunkers with services : Oppidum (in Czech Republic), Vivos (in Germany) and less upscale for cheapskates like Survival Condos (ex Atlas missile silos, in Kansas), Safe House bunker (Poland), Trident Lake (Texas).
And I agree:
if you don't know what your survival threat is, a bunker could just as well be an expensive coffin. Most billionaires don't have a clue, they are clued to the mainstream and their own talking points
You can't run it alone. You need staff. You need running water, replenishable food, clean air and energy. All supplies will run out. So will the loyalty of hired staff. At best, they are a "ride it out for a few weeks" type of scenario, before they breakdown due to systemic failure and lack of resources.

Risk management goal: minimize THE COST of risk.

When God's wrath is unleashed there won't be anywhere to hide
They'll even come for you in your dreams where you could get stuck for eternity
