Fatherlessness was monetized. One of those things makes a lot of sense when you take it all in. That's why blanket racism makes absolutely no sense. They're not savages, they're a broken part of society government uses to justify their actions. The left hates hearing about how much better black lives were in the window between freedom and the democratic plantation.
This is why men's names weren't put on birth certificates. Even when the father was known. Because what happens was designed. If you're young, and dumb and get pregnant there are profits that can be used to help you better yourself so that you don't need them. But, if the fathers name is on the birth certificate that man gets a bill for all of it. That gives no help for a small young family, anything given is actually taken.
Then they started checking on who was living together. My state includes a child's income even if they're underage. So, if your teenager wants better clothes or to be able to pay for their sports, your entire family can lose their low income housing. When my kids were little their babysitter went through that. Their big bro in high school got a job, and suddenly social services expected all of that income to be put to rent. A high school students part time job money! He had to move out. He got a bunch of roommates, and moved out because of he hadn't it would have effected scholarships.

Parks wasn't the first instance of a black woman standing up to segregation laws. Claudette Colvin was arrested 9 months earlier for refusing to give up her seat to a white woman on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama.
