Are you really so low level that you're fishing for the bottom rung here? Are you just learning or what? It seems like a waste of time. Either that or your teachers are trying to justify their own positions.

About 10 years ago those home do-it-yourself soda machines became popular. But then it died off and the marketing went away.

Soda is just another thing probably healthier to make at home by yourself.

This guy seems gay but he shows how to make your own soda. Of course, you'd want to play with the ingredients to take away bad ingredients and replace with healthy ones. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZb_7JgcsSU

Its pure sugar, there is no way in hell its good for you. Regardless.

Something like a kombucha would be way better, but damn are they expensive, which is something that would be worth learning to make. They are so damn good but they really trigger the gout :/.

God awful pepsi, its mainly what I drink and the only reason im still drinking it is because of the low phosphorous. I cant get enough in my diet naturally so im stuck taking supplements and drinking pop :/. The only thing im deficient in is phosphorous, its not from lack of eating different foods.

I stopped drinking it for a year and I realize how much the sugar makes you feel tired. Even something like half a can is enough to cause this effect. I was worried I was diabetic but my a1c was fine. Then I got covid and nearly died when I ran out of phosphorous. Was low enough to give me breathing problems and walk in doctors are like its fine what are you talking about. A year later and its the bare minimum and the doctors are like "its normal".

Yeah ok ^^.

The chronic low phosphorous has made it so I am hungry all the fucking time. Its actually insane. Doesnt matter what I eat, how much I eat, I never feel satiated. I just want more and more. Its made fasting more than 14 hours almost impossible.

I was trying to remember this a few months ago, couldnt find it in any google searches.

I did some reading on the subject.

The main claim comes from the fact that the company filed the patent. They claim that these cells were to be used in some kind of "taste test" without involving actual people.

As another user posted, their actual flavorings seem to relate to salt and sugar. They are using chemicals "or so they claim" to mimic these tastes. This is exactly what these companys have been doing for decades.

https://customspecialties.seqens.com/en/general-en/the-science-behind-food-flavourings/

The human tongue can pick up on five distinct tastes: sweetness, saltiness, sourness, bitterness, and umami (savoury). Every other element that makes up a flavour comes from the aroma of the food, and it is estimated that almost 80% of taste is experienced through smell. This is where chemicals, both natural and artificial, come in to play, as they can be used to alter the scent and therefore the flavour of food and drink.

Flavours are very complex, with dozens or sometimes hundreds of chemicals interacting to create each food and beverage’s unique taste profile. Tea, for example, has 47 separate chemicals which make up its flavour, while the taste of coffee is made up of almost 100. However, some flavours have a dominant chemical component which, even on its own, imparts its distinct taste to any food it’s added to.

Im leaning towards this being a mistake ( I hope so anyway, not like any of these products are good for anyone anyway, fake calories with no nutrition whatsoever, let alone the chemical compounds from the manufacturing process, to the food additives).

Sad part is we have no way to know for sure because these foods are considered "safe" by the fda, and are used in such miniscule amounts, that they legally dont have to tell us.

Then the fda people go on to become ceos of these companies. The entire fucking system is rigged.

Do you get a cut when you "lean on" certain uneducated guesses?

I know how people would rather ramble about their idea without havening any conclusion, leaving the whole conversation pointless. Usually, these are the people who prefer hearing their own thoughts out loud, instead of a logical conclusion. "Where is the wiggle room?" It is often a trait of people, who want to be perceived as intelligent instead of actually doing the work. I know it's hard. Actually reaching conclusions by having more pieces of the puzzle, than the regular propaganda articles that you can find in 10 seconds and copy several thoughts from their work, is way, way harder. Basically, I am trying to explain the difference between a real investigator and a kid, who uses keywords to check in google's top links. Long comments don't mean substance. Also, "leaning on" doesn't mean a conclusion.

Keep digging. Do the work.

They try to explain it away as synthetic from being thousands of generations down at this point. It's not for me.
