My grandma was in the middle of 14 kids. Most people can't afford that these days. The controlled environment limits the number of children on its own.

I'm 2nd of 14 and None of my sisters has grandkids yet, so I know we're not related. I'll go so far as to say family size is more a product of selflessness (2 parent monogamous marriage family in developed countries). I find it amazing someone else has determined the political and financial future for me because it's their ideal world. That sword cuts both ways, I don't want to tell them what they should do either.

I won't argue your experience. I appreciate you bringing that perspective to the discussion.

I only had two children. But, I have friends and family who were out on the situations you see brought to the attention of Congress. A raise, or an additional part time job hurt the family financially. One way around that is to have another baby. It's gaming the system in the same way large corporations use loopholes to avoid paying taxes.

I've seen multiple women have another child to be able to afford to finish school so they can take care of their children without help. It's a choice to be poor for a designated period of time rather than get caught in the system that keeps you poor. It's a choice that gets called many names, but in the end those women end up making it on their own.

No doubt a lot of people game the system. I have no biological children, but I have many kids and grandkids. It really pisses me off that so many people have kids they abandon. My parents have 21 biological grandkids, but I can't even wrap my head around the number of step grandkids. Kids don't get a choice about being brought into this world but need a family to nurture them and help them grow. Our family adopts kids like a cat lady adopts stray cats. I've even had friends that wouldn't attend their own parents funeral but cried when my dad died.

a) temporary growth (life) within ongoing loss (inception towards death) implies limited growth within unlimited loss....based on free will of choice.

b) if one chooses to grow, then one can never reach ones potential...comprehending this takes the pressure of wanting to reach outcomes, hence balancing ones growth.

Edit: this one's funny...suggesting the limits of growth as DENNIS (Latin Dionysius; god of wine and revelry) on a MEADOW (grassy pasture).
