Nine feet in the street is preventing people from going anywhere except on-foot wearing snow shoes. I bet they do not have a fleet of snow throwers to open those streets up. Nine feet is too much for a snow plow, you need industrial snow throwers to open those streets up.
This is exactly the type of situation “State of Emergency” declarations are designed to resolve. Governor shit-for-brains should be mobilizing a fleet of snow throwers to the area asap… but no one is going to want to give up a snow thrower because all the regular snowy communities are also drowning in snow.
Places where it rarely ever snows does not have a fleet of snow plows. Why would they? You'd complain that they spent $4 million each year maintaining a fleet of expensive trucks with plows for the occasional snowfall every 10 years.
That's like buying a $2,000 generator because you lose electricity for 1 day in the last 10 years. You can't quite justify the cost.

I was in a beach town while they got a once in 10 years snowfall. The people were panicking, driving like morons or too scared to drive at all, businesses all shutting down. It was laughable. As a mountain boy no one would even bother putting the tire chains on for this light dusting of snow.
I'm willing to bet this same bitch had no problem with being locked the fuck down for 2 weeks of a SCAM-demic. But God forbid if she can't get to the vet to get her cat's nails clipped because there's a couple inches of snow on the road.
