it's 250m from what I heard, they reduced it thanks to automation.
If I remember correctly, Patrick Winston (MIT professor) set the number @ 100 million in one of his lectures.
I think the problem is specifically that they do not think. I would suggest the driving factors for such people would be conveniently conceptualized as "path of least resistance" and "shiny things to bring back to the nest".
