To be fair, if I was a glowie I would want Amazon in my back pocket. Their global distro network is absolutely perfect for smuggling stuff. Thousands of Amazon packages go through various customs every day and no one's going to dig through an entire shipment to look for drugs or guns. Use Amazon as your cover and you can traffic just about anything you want.
“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them (around the banks), will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.”
Thomas Jefferson also said this in 1816,
“I hope that we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country.”
Jefferson wasn’t the only founding father to make statements about corporations. John Adams also had an opinion.
“Banks have done more injury to the religion, morality, tranquility, prosperity, and even wealth of the nation than they can have done or ever will do good.”
Their bookstore was kicked off Google play. Something about wanting all payments to be processed through Google. The same thing had already happened on crapple.
On one hand, AWS (and maybe GCP or Azure) are the only ones remotely big enough and robust enough to handle what the government needs, and the government building it themselves would be a mess.
After amazon bought the washington post for ~$250Million around ten years ago...a few months later Bezos got a big ~$500Million cia contract.
Amazon dindu nuffin, Jeff Bezos just needs more programs.
If we had more programs the CIA wouldn't use violence to solve they problems.
You people always blaming the govermbent and don't consider the programs that could help these young men.

Jeff Bezos was just a hard worker and you can too if you just get on the grind*
*(and have a grandfather who was Atomic Energy Commission director and head of ARPA/ARPAnet/DARPA, Sandia Labs, etc.)
if you did start a distribution center and got even a quarter big as amazon, they would shut you down....
so that's no longer an option

This is not a true headline. Amazon may host part of CIA's data processing, but they don't do everything. I have direct knowledge of this.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen this many ⬆️s on a post here, 91-0, good job OP. Lol

Buuuut. It's frightening out much stuff is just sitting on AWS GovCloud https://aws.amazon.com/govcloud-us/?whats-new-ess.sort-by=item.additionalFields.postDateTime&whats-new-ess.sort-order=desc
In theory, it's encrypted in such a way that AWS employees wouldn't be able to read it if they tried, but ...
and twitter and linkedin and pretty much everything else
