I think this more applicable to groups of immigrants moreso than single families or individuals.
I find that the more they kids are able to grow up in the society without being culturally siloed tends to make for a good melting pot. But when you have a mass immigration and all from select cultures....you get these residential neighbourhoods where all one culture lives and they bring their hate for other cultures with them (especially religious and class based)

Yes, and the padlock doesn't appear often because we mods don't have to use it often because we generally have a moral populace. A constitution with reasonable mod locking privileges would be wholly inadequate to any other kind of people.

As a naive user I do not fully understand the symbol. If it means no comments are allowed, I think that's okay - people can state opinions but if the mods think these will incite wars, then allow the comment to stand, but prevent armed conflict.
I assume what this symbol action does is prevent trolls from starting running battle threads.

up here in CA we've been shipping massive amounts of Indian immigrants in. its started in 2019 and has been exponentially increasing over the last 2-3 years. No joke, they're entire sections of citys and small towns being converted into weird split societies here.
its not the melting pot like most people think, they have no interest in our culture or even understanding the nuances of western society. They essentially take our jobs, send there money over seas to be saved or spent. once they get there citenship there family comes over and reinforces the cycle and strengthening the divide.
its actually really fucking weird because at the end of the day Indian people have some really good qualities that could be beneficial influnce on us and vice versea. if there wasn't this artificial hatred and fear instilled in all us we could learn from eachother.
they have a very strong family unit in comparison to us, there marriages last much longer and there familys are much bigger, both things we are loosening in the west.
