The first time was a misdemeanor charge that was dismissed. Allegedly, he tried to set up a meeting with a 16-year-old girl during a sting operation. None of this is pedophile stuff, but you're right about it being used against him. He claims the dismissed charge was publicized in 2003 to discredit him because he was such an outspoken critic of the Iraq War and the WMD claims.
