Stephen Colbert made his name at the 2006 WH Correspondents Dinner mocking journalists for being too deferential to the president. Now, 16 years and $150 million later, he demands journalists be more deferential to the President, says they should be slapped when confrontational. (twitter.com)

Colbert is a subversive, intellectually dishonest, sorry excuse for a moral human being. Anyone who thinks his opinion has merit, needs a reach around!

That's pretty much funnier than anything Colbert has ever done. LOL

2006, a time when Colbert was actually funny and didn't take himself too seriously.

That WHCD where he roasted Bush using satire for over an hour was up there as one of the greatest moments in the history of C-SPAN. Anyone honest would admit it was funny and took tremendous balls. The WHCD team clearly did not do their homework and thought they were getting a Republican comedian.

It's sad to see how far Colbert has fallen. Since he left comedy central to host the late show and dropped the role playing act he's just not funny anymore and has become far too partisan.

It makes me think they have blackmail material on him. He's clearly changed sides and his material has suffered greatly for it.

I think he just became a mindless hater just like almost all the other Democrats.

He was always that partisan, but on Colbert he didn't have to virtue signal because he could just tell his friends that funny joke that offended them was just his character.

Also him doing that in 2006 wasn't brave or the funniest moments, Norm MacDonald doing that in 1997 was funnier and braver - truly a pioneer.

Colbert hasn't been funny since he started The Colbert Report. That was even less funny than his coof songs.

Worst part is. He is rich enough to retire. He is smart enough to absolutely know what he is doing and to be able to see through both his own propaganda, but the propaganda of his peers.

That fact the he's still doing it means that he's just really fucking evil.

When you allow your sworn enemies to live, and openly corrupt your people and your nation, they'll eventually defeat you.

There was a time when we could reasonably believe the relationship between Colbert and the Podestas was merely coincidental, but I think that time has passed.

Stephen Colbert and John Podesta, Firendly as can be

Ever seen the way rabbis try and slap people around in Israel? I think it's something like that. It's their last go-to when people don't eat up their bullshit.

And really, Colbert would never slap Doocy himself. He could not handle the repercussions, either instantly or long-term. Even if he did it with a group he would get wrecked LOL.

Well he actually starred in one of Comedy Central's first original series, Strangers With Candy, which he also developed and wrote, and it is so homophobic, racist, sexist, body shaming, gender conforming, and every other bad no no top liberals so he should have been cancelled by the woke mob years ago.
