You have absolutely no idea what I am facing. There is a reason why I am talking about it daily here.
100%, unwavering and completely unopposed mask compliance. There's a mandate and it's entirely unopposed, if you even take of your mask by a second, there's a good chance you will be called a super spreader. And you can't go indoors without a mask, stores will not even offer you any services if you do not wear a mask. There is no resistance to any of these.
im in illinois and i have gotten evil eyes, verbally assaulted NUMEROUS times, and even about 2 inches away from being physically assaulted. i have even been told to go kill myself and have my life threatened for NOT wearing a mask in places. it's getting insane...

Everyone is at a boiling point and everyone knows their right. Having their own bias pumped back into them online over the past 2 years bears a lot of the blame. Unless we recognize nuance we're no different here. Many people both masked and unmasked, vaxxed and unvaxxed believe they are genuinely doing what's right. Everyone needs to start reaching across the aisle to understand the other half better. Everyone.
It's a nice sentiment you espouse here but the divide is too great. Every headline is driving the wedge deeper. Instead of reaching across the aisle, I'd settle for a truce - a mutual ceasefire. But they won't accept that - they won't let us be.
You need to find a local ally who feels the same as you. You're not alone, people are just too afraid to be singled out. It's impossible that everyone in Asia is a true ans obedient believer - there has to be a percentage who are just blending in. Find those people and form a club where you can get some normalcy in private and speak openly to each other.
