Reading that I remembered one story from the modern Russian Federation history:
When Putin became a president, he immidiately began a campaign of pushing tolerance into ethnic Russians (and only Russians). At that time there was a lot of huge protests against forced flooding Russian cities with uneducated and aggressive muslims from Caucasus and Middle Asia. MSM was completely silent about rise of murders, theft and violence from muslims. Instead it was filled with stories, about how bad that drunk Russian nazis are, that every Russian is a intolerant hater who dream of genociding "mostly peaceful" nations from Caucasus, how Russians gangs every day slaughter a dozen cute little Tadjik girls, how Russians resist accepting new normal with multietnicity and all that crap. Russians was accused of all possible sins against multicultural multietnicity tolerance.
Slogan "Hey, Russians, may be it's time to really do everything they accuse us of!" quickly became very popular. :)
As for OP link, most people who don't want/need to take covid jabs, just don't care about that stupid COVID-19 at all. So, hardly anyone will really search for a cure.
But gargling a throat with iodine water is a good old way to fight throat inflammation and infection. In Russia, in any pharmacy without any recipe you could buy ready to use cheap as dirt "Lugol Solution" in form of liquid or spray. It is a solution of few percent of iodine in potassium iodide water or glycerine solution. It is very old and widely used medicine with well-known effect. Medics often officially recommends gargling throat with it. If you got tonsilitis, that "Lugol" is standard thing to use, as soon, as possible. At least in Russia.
MSM fabricating such stories to show the danger of that awful independent thinkers could occasionally invent a really good idea for us. :)
PS: Just take a look at pediwikia about "Lugol Iodine" in English and "Раствор Люголя" in Russian. It is fascinating. In English version there are no mention about using that medicine for curing tonsilitis and about nasopharynx usage at all, but in Russian one it is openly stated that it used by gargling or spraying throat to effectively cure tonsilitis and other throat/nasopharynx infections.
The Lugol solution was popular (and still continues to be popular in some cases) with people suffering from thyroid disorders. I know some people who use it as a treatment because some modern medicine just doesn't cut it, but the true and tested old methods are more effective.
Since most of us are not worried about Covid19 it's more likely that unhinged, mask and Vax-crazy, leftists are gargling iodine.

Agreed, I hate that my 4yo has to endure the day with a mask on for a disease which has no impact on her demographic.
The long term mental damage being done to these kids is immeasurable. I wish nothing but karma for those that push masks and vaxes on us.
