Evil person...I've seen this before, but look at the way she smirks after the first line, and then her highly inflected "right now" shortly thereafter. Big liar.
Leave it to CNN to let the Chinese propagandists step right up and say whatever they want.
If you want to see something really gross, look up news articles about her having a baby like it's a big deal or some shit. Here's one.
They made a big deal of her having a baby because she was a part of Planned Parenthood for years. It’s like their way of saying, “Look, we love kids too! We even have them without killing them sometimes!” Pure evil propaganda.
Also, I'm not well read on the subject, but I'm pretty sure her speech patterns probably fall under Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Same with Obama.
Use a specific cadence with hard emphasis on the words you want ingrained.
I did not first learn of Obama emulating black preachers from NPR. Early in his political career, some aspiring black politicians in Chicago were a part of the local black church scene. You may recall the "scandal" regarding Obama's association with pastor Jeremiah Wright. People have shown by comparing Obama speeches to sermons of black ministers that he sometimes emulates that style of oration.
I am certainly not trying to promote Barack Obama here. I would be keenly interested if you could show any NLP techniques employed by him. There are countless video recordings of Barack Obama speaking in a variety of contexts. Surely people would have pointed it out.
AND, I know a guy who was both a local news cameraman and later editor. Even he knew it. He complained that it was difficult often to get clean clips of Obama, literally because of the stuttering that he does (when not using a teleprompter).
And when I told him, "Ya know, he stutters because he's waiting for lines to be fed to him most of the time"... he didn't disagree. Then he got all angry when I told him that Obama was a "CIA president" and haven't talked to him since.
Also, do you not think PASTORS use manipulative speaking techniques? I mean, that's kinda ALL some of them do. The phony ones.
Great catch! I've been speculating about this type of thing for a while now.
For me it was watching Gavin Newsom speeches compared to how Rachel Madcow presents. I feel like they have the same "coach" and that's why they are able to get into peoples' heads.
What they are doing is informing people how they should frame this issue when speaking to others about it. I can't put my finger on what Dr. Wen's style of speech is at the moment, but it ingeniously plants lots of nasty seeds.
Take a look at this quote:
...there are...millions of people...who just don't know what's in it for them.
The seed here is that people are largely self-serving and need incentives to take the correct action. There is a physician in my life who talks exactly this way and I am certain she learned the technique at a conference or something.
It is important to note that she is not addressing people in the context of their personal health choices, but rather telling people how to spread the message. That is very different.
EDIT: It is even worse. What's she is actually saying is that people who have not gotten the jabs are acting in a self-serving way and we need "carrots" to dangle in front of them, and that depriving people of their right to travel is therefore reasonable.
The brilliant part is--this being aimed at those insufferable people who exalt themselves as "influencers"--her audience will be thrilled by the suggestion that they are the ones to dangle the carrot.
...what's that carrot going to be? ...If you are vaccinated, you can do all these things. Here're all these freedoms that you have.
There is also a technique of placing terms next to each other in order to form an association in people's minds. This is called juxtaposition and can be a logical fallacy when used to imply a correlation when none is claimed.
There is the anti-science, anti-vaxxer contingent.
She speaks very well. I don't know if any of you took 2nd and 4rd grade English seriously. But in those classes, we were taught HOW to use the language when speaking. It is called INTONATIONS...
When making a STATEMENT, you keep your tonal voice more factual, or even and on the last word, it rather drops.
When Asking a Question, your tone at the end of the question rises, as it produces a better question...
So Thank You for pointing this out, it shows that our Students are no longer taught Tonal Intonations in beginning/beginners English classes...
And we are also LACKING in Enunciation Classes.... Most people I speak to sound like they are chewing on a celery or have a huge wad of tobacco in their mouth...
It's making Americans sound like they really don't know what they are talking about....
I hear people who use the up tone, intended for questions, when trying to make a factual Statement, and it sounds like they are not at all sure of what they just said(common)....
At other times, they'll shake their head left/right, which means NO, while making a positive statement... also common, and sends a mixed message....
Other times...never mind, it's not like any of you care anyway.... I give up... Let the chineesee fuck it all up and have at it...
They like to use ASMR things.
That's why Biden whispers into the mic like a rapist in your ear at the parking garage.
That's why you can hear AOC smoosh out a kegel when she hits her talking points. That's why Pelosi sounds like a crackling desert wind.
It is not their natural voice. Usually the valley girl speech pattern is a male trying to pass of as a female, they got loads of tricks in their bag.
Dang, I could see it. And that could also be why they made a big deal of her having a baby. Cover. Certainly not outside the realm of possibility.

Well, she's a eugenicist, that's for certain. Planned Parenthood and eugenics kinda go hand-in-hand.

I don't think Obama was using NLP in his speech patterns. Sometimes he would emulate black preachers to a degree.

NPR? Thanks for nothing.
I don't care what an Obama mouthpiece has to say about it.
And you don't say why YOU don't think he used NLP. You link to a shit source. Weak. Downoted.

They have, that's why I said it.
That's pretty much all there is to it.

Thanks. If you know of any particular techniques we can show to other people, feel free to share.
Listen to some Martin Luther King Jr. speeches to get a feel for what I'm talking about. That predates the development of NLP.
Great catch! I've been speculating about this type of thing for a while now.

Maybe because English wasn’t her first language? It sounds like an accent.
Listen to Chris Cuomo at the beginning:

I thought this was a great comment, true and highly useful.
