I don't read symbols. Do you read symbols in your language. My language consist of letters. For yourself, do you define letters as "symbols"?
Mostly, the occult use symbols for recognition. In the times of early man, when language was still forming in various regions, most communication was symbolic. Today, when I communicate with computers, I have to use a symbol once in a while, but not often. I don't use symbols to communicate with any humans.
What does it change? Perception. If I don't allow myself to adhere to the face value given to the symbol from an occult, I have the ability to see past the symbolism for what groups have placed behind it.
A letter is a symbol too yes. It symbolized a vocal unit at least. In ancient languages, more than that. But at least, that.
In my opinion you are conflating symbol and belief.
You treat the symbol as a symbol, understand the belief it points to, then reject said belief. That's fine. But you are definitely not rejecting the symbol itself, as a symbol (because it cannot be anything else than a). Just as a symbol for this or that belief.
"Belief" is a word that defines not having all the information available to assemble an educated understanding.
I see what you are trying to show me, but since it is put by you into the form of "belief", I have to assume that you have this "belief" of a thing. That's not how I function.
Now, if you have some literature that explains the symbology of the letters of the English, Latin and Greek languages, I will read it, as soon as I get it.
Choice (form) represents power of evaluation in reaction to power of balance (flow); which contains all value. The suggestions by the choices of others represent the temptation for choice to ignore responding to balance. All symbols within nature are communicated to our senses as moving inspiration to react to by choice, and those who suggest us to believe the meaning of suggested symbols want us to ignore reaction to inspiration (aka adaptation).
don't be anymore afraid of their meanings than you would be if you were learning German.
About that...Unter dichtem Fichtendickicht picken dicke Finken tüchtig. Dicke Finken picken tüchtig unter dichtem Fichtendickicht.
The human mind is symbol minded, as language is one big symbol exchange.
Symbol just means to "correspond to something". I say bread and i mean something tangible.
In this case i think what you wanted to symbolize with your answer is "leave belief in this stuff to folklore minded" or smth to that effect.
You never can talk of anything without symbols because language is just a bunch of symbols.
It's a quote from a comedian.
