My guess is, it was propaganda for the western media. Staged events.
To what end though? To cause us to overreact and hurt us economically?
Perhaps China didn’t actually know what effect the virus would have once unleashed and wanted to scare their own citizens into compliance?

Regardless, after is was obviously far less deadly than the average flu China went into full propaganda mode to capitalize on it. As a bio weapon, it was an abysmal failure. As a psychological weapon it was comparable to dropping nukes.

The people in those videos were clearly acting, if you've watched Chinese films, it is more obvious.
I remember a couple of them, about people "fainting". If you paid attention you'd notice they were breaking the fall with their arms/hands.

Fake or manufactured victims? There were people dropping dead, like the NYC Police Lieutenant that media reported to have "forcibly removed himself from the hospital" after being admitted for covid evaluation, who then dropped dead in the street shortly thereafter...
If they were real , they would more likely be from a vaccination program.
I mean, have you seen the Chinese population in China? So much starvation and so much grease and sugar. 10 lane highways have replaced bicycle. China only doesn't have an obesity and diabetes epidemic because the numbers are diluted by the throngs of people starving to death. COVID vaccines also appear to react violently in people who've had certain other diseases (shingles, SARS). Little emperors that subsist on a diet of cake and sugar drinks are everywhere.
SARS-like viruses commonly hit really hard at the beginning and then evolve towards doing less damage an spreading more easily.
Given the evidence, I find it equally likely that COVID just hit their decrepit population far harder than it's hitting our population because we may be fat, but we're way less malnourished.

It seemed fake because there was videos of people literally walking/standing then all of a sudden just fall over from the virus. We now know it doesn’t really work like that and you would just get sick like you would with any other virus.
It just didn’t make sense that people would be out at the bus stop or at the mall and all of a sudden they were too sick to even stand. Not only that, if you all of a sudden felt very sick you might sit or even lie down but you wouldn’t fall over like you were suddenly rendered unconscious
