Because it isn’t a validated scientific theory of origin of man and how we will evolve. It is more akin to faith to believe in evolution when you cannot test the concept let alone validate its predictions.

If you want to believe the volcano you saw was real, it does not bother me. Faking volcanos is not that hard, especially when the one who looks expect it to be real, takes some pipes pumping steam, liquid glass our whatever it is.
