Fourteen companies can access the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism's (GIFCT) database, including Reddit, Snapchat-owner Snap (SNAP.N), Facebook-owned Instagram, Verizon (VZ.N) Media, Microsoft's LinkedIn and file-sharing service Dropbox (DBX.O). (www.reuters.com)

This isn't a future for humanity. It's corporate greed and indentured servitude. They haven't prevented terrorism. Instead they simply silence dissent to force compliance and all it does is rig the need and demand fueling their monopolies. Meanwhile crime simply increases.

Because these companies are more concerned with just one user refusing to drink on their coolaid. It potentially costs far more sales. They will do everything to silence dissent. It has nothing to do with their failed narratives of the terrorists. Crime simply increases regardless. It increases the more people are suppressed. It increases the more population there is, and the more a population integrates, and it increases from greater wealth divides. But it is all about control, containment, and absolute compliance of the tech syndicates who have caused the biggest crimes on our species and this planet. They have sooner stopped, rigging, free speech. They have caused climate change. They have caused this pandemic. They have caused a World arming with increasing WMDs. They have caused hyper inflation and a wealth divide until we are back in feudalism. We sooner own nothing they cannot turn off, and force us to pay higher taxes for more of their bullshit. They have caused another shitty upgrade polluting this planet with their greed. They cause ignorance. Until they simply deplatform anybody who doesn't drink on their bullshit.

Yeah, I did my Masters Thesis on the control of culture by big-tech.

Humble brag - my jewish marxist supervisor was sharing it around the department as recommended reading (I chose him on purpose so I knew my audience was the enemy).

I've spent 30+ years doing IT and now I wish I had done something else. It is a tainted profession.

It is the worse that it has been in such along long time. A new age approaches and with all the hallmarks of past cycles. It is no longer freedom but absolute dystopia. It is no longer hope but despair. It is no longer a solution but the problem being forced to cause absolute control. This new age isn't better when it threatens.

We are entering an age where if we go back to previous revolutions when automation, like the automobile appeared prior to the World Wars is what it's like today. Technology caused both World Wars. It rarely causes a renaissance because that happens when an invention appears prior to it gaining dominance. It assumes solution and everything prior is sooner destroyed or subjugated. When computers appeared they caused a renaissance with the Internet and briefly the globe peaked and changed. Now technology strives for absolute control providing complete automation and ai.

Today it is causing unthinkable problems which won't be solved without another cycle reoccurring. With it population control.

Ellul lays it out in The Technological Society (1963). Once we went from tools to machines, we doomed ourselves to become tools of the machines.

Our hope as humans is to turn away from the material but the forces against that are massive.

Efficiency and optimization and the rational will grind us into dust.

And I am an professional optimizer :(

LinkedIn? So now employers can learn who is anti-corporate, anti-vax, or insulted Hunter Biden's dog. Love the fascist state big tech, or you will die.

If you must use LinkedIn (which tbh I find it useful for jobs searching, I've found two jobs on there) theony thing to comment is "I love fags"

haha. But you know, in years of LinkedIn all it ever got me was endless 'friend' requests from ambitious H1Bs seeking to progress in the US, and lots of spam.

I'm sure it is region dependent, I'm in the UK. And I enjoy keeping tabs on my various work and University contacts without a personal social account elsewhere.

The virtue signalling I find the worst though, because I want to post with my own opinion - if it wasn't for the professional suicide.
