I always found good movie recommendations on r/conspiracy, so I was hoping to start one here!
All of the best movies have some sort of conspiratorial foundation or are based off of conspiracies so post your favorites here!
Also I’m looking for a good movie to watch that I haven’t seen before and this was the first place I could think of to look.
My favorites (I like the family friendly/comedy ones):
John Carter of Mars Tropic Thunder Indiana Jones (crystal skull is my fave, hate it all you want but it has aliens so) Star Wars Trilogy (obviously) Atlantis Aquaman (bc Atlantis) Journey to the Center of the Earth Journey to the Mysterious Island Hell boy Green lantern Treasure Planet Avatar The Legend of Hercules Exodus: Gods and Kings The Mummy Valerian 2012 All X-Men movies Fantastic Four Pacific Rim Iron Man All Kong movies All Godzilla movies Apocalyptico Assassin 33 AD Mortal Engines
..these are some of my favorites but I need more and I lost the massive list I had in my old phone. Post your favorites so I don’t have to spend an hour looking for a good movie to watch and thanks in advance!
One of the most popular conspiracy film is the 1991 Hollywood blockbuster film JFK. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JFK_(film)
Which is interesting, considering that this film is actually one of best examples of a major "conspiracy" film designed to lead truth seekers down a dead end.
It was created at a time when there was a growing public movement to learn the truth about the JFK assassination.
"JFK" was produced by a company (Regency Enterprises) that was founded by a billionaire Israeli spy named Arnon Milchan.
Arnon Milchan publicly admitted in an interview that he was heavily involved in the operation to steal American uranium and smuggle it to Israel for their illegal nuclear weapons program.
So is it any wonder that the film didn't mention a fucking word about the theory that JFK was murdered, in part, because of his efforts to shut down Israel's illegal nuclear weapons program?
In fact, I don't think the words "Israel" or "Jewish Organized Crime" was mentioned once in the film.
Is it any wonder that they don't want the public to know who runs Hollywood?
From "The LA Times" - Zionists run Hollywood
From "The LA Times" - Hollywood was founded by Jews

I feel like this needs to be a discussion thread on it's own! I just recently got into the JFK conspiracy and have not read up on it yet. This looks like a lot of good info, I will save for later!

Love all of these, but I haven't seen Enemy of the State or Law Abiding Citizen (at least in a while), but I remember it being similar to Shooter? Will have to do a rewatch! Thanks a bunch.
Enemy of the state is a really great movie. One of my all time favs. Same guy, Gene Hackman, did a 70’s movie where he’s a private eye and relies heavily on eavesdropping devices. He accidentally overhears a murder being planned by a politician. It’s a great “conspiracy” movie, too.
Kubrick!! 2001/Shining/Eyes Wide Shut
conspiracy theory (1997)
Capricorn One
manchurian candidate (the 1962 version)
seven days in may
three days of the condor
wag the dog
the parallax view
jfk
executive action
they live
Capricorn One is awesome. USA has to fake a Mars landing to beat the Russians (I think) and then dispose of any loose ends who may talk. OJ Simpson is in it. One of my first DVD purchases.
LOL I'm not sure if you were trying to be funny, but that's about as glowing a review as one could give about his role in the movie. His character is not developed whatsoever and barely has any lines.
The supporting actors carry this movie - none of the protagonists are well acted.
Yes this reminds me of that movie with Ron pearlman and the guy who plays Ron weasley..MOONWALKERS. Such a good one! It definitely flew under the radar but same type of plot
The Island
Cabin in the Woods
Shutter Island
First half of the Island is really good. Then it becomes a stock chaser movie.
solid
Go back to the real world classics from the golden era of American film-making the 70s. These are intelligent, well-crafted, not in your face, subtle movies about what/how things happen in real world, Not sci-fi, fantasy or gas explosion action.
I don’t know if you’ll agree but I think “The Game” with Michael Douglass would fit nicely with your recommendations (the ones I’ve seen I loved, so I’ll have to check out the others)
If you like The Game check out 13th Floor, Dark City, and ExistenZ
Hah man ExistenZ haunted my dreams for a brief period. That fucking tooth scene good lord...
Agreed on all 3 recs!
Got any others in that vein? Brazil isn't an exact fit but great too
Hmm good question, I guess if the theme is “unsure what is real”
I’d recommend Pi by Darron Aronofsky and The Machinist with Christian Bale
That's so funny you mention those two because I'm constantly confusing them
Jacob's Ladder
I tried to watch this a few times, but the first scene always puts me in a depressed mood, lol. I will have to give it another go. Thanks!
Lol, I know, and it's fuckin creepy at times hehe but worth well a watch! Also good cast. Good movie overall, when movies weren't all about "social justice" and alt sex.
I like this list! I hae seen many of these but there are a lot I haven't seen. The Book of Eli has seemed to have made it's way back into conversation lately; Just watched V for Vendetta again in the last few weeks since it's like literally what's going on right now. I always talk about the Island, which is such a great movie. Snowpiercer, Edge of Tomorrow, Maze Runner, LUCY, The Matrix...All amazing movies. I have been eyeballing Greenland lately, and haven't heard of Alien Overlords but that definitely sounds like my kind of movie :) I tried watching THX and Soylent Green, but couldn't get into them because of the quality of my streams, but will try again. Definitely adding all to my list, thanks much.
No problem. Glad so many others have recommended their own lists in the past, providing foundation for this one to be compiled.
I've watched all of them, and a few more than once.
Much knowledge can be passed on this way, and provide good lenses into past and future.
Many other excellent recommendations in this thread - should make for quite a few interesting evenings.
Wait..I didn't know the Shining had occult symbolism. Will have to watch that one again. I have seen Eyes Wide Shut which is absolutely why Kubrick was killed. Haven't seen these other ones though, Thanks!
The Shining Has symbolism about the faking of Apollo 11
Dark waters is a eye opener.
Indeed it is, highly recommended. this is the ordinary, garden variety conspiracy FACT that happens every day in the corporate world.
https://vumoo.to/movies/dark-waters-2019
I like movies that make me go "wtf" at the end. With that in mind, watch these:
I don't think I've seen any of these besides Ex Machina and Mother (which I agree was super weird, I don't even think I finished it lol). Will definitely add them to my list, thanks so much!
Second mother! and in fact any and all Darron Aronofsky films, especially Pi.
Sounds retarded, but Robocop. Fucking great movie that holds up, which lets you see the corruption that permeates a city from the street to the executive board room, and various agendas for profit and power.
I thought the new Robocop was amazing! I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. I haven't seen the original all the way through yet, but it's an unsettling feeling knowing that this is where humanity seems to be heading.
Interview with a vampire..is that the one with Tom Cruise? Army of Darkness and Eyes Wide shut were good! I will check out these other ones though, for sure! If you like Army of Darkness, Bubba Ho-Tep and Ash vs. Evil Dead were good too.
Rosemary's baby
Documentary about what was planned for Sharon Tate
i want to believe.
Currently have my conspiracy senses tingling with the boys and utopia on Amazon but I guess that's tv shows not movies. I'll try to remember something more to recommend. Edit: 12 monkeys and Doctor sleep.
I’m open to shows too! Thanks much ?
If you're going to watch Utopia, might I suggest the original UK version from 2013? Also for movies, if you're gonna watch good 70's conspiracy movies as listed above; I would also add: The Conversation, Blow Out, and All the Presidents Men. I have a ton more, will add later if I remember ;)
Quick addition: There was a movie done 2014 with Jeremy Renner called 'Kill The Messenger'. It's about Gary Webb and his uncovering the CIA involvement in trafficking cocaine into the US back in the 80's. It's pretty good. Here's the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VW4XO-52ubE
Thanks for the input! I haven't heard of any of these so I will definitely check them out.
Utopia is dope. Didn't know there was a UK version, I'll have to check that out!
Dredd (2012)
Kingsman: The Secret Service (first one, second was half good half goofy.)
Road to Perdition
I think the second Kingsman was more like reality in Hollywood than the first one honestly. It seems goofy but many people involved in shit like Bohemian Grove are insane. They're trying to normalize that shit. I was suddenly reminded of Hillary Clinton's Frazzledrip predicament when I thought about the meat grinder scene. Dredd was really good and I haven't seen Road to Perdition since I was like ten so I will have to do a rewatch of that one. I know my dad likes it a lot. Thanks!
Zeitgeist The Movie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlKqGeKVOik
Zeitgeist: Moving Forward https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoyQtEWCBpY
Now that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time
Same.
Yes, love documentaries! I have seen these but may have fallen asleep during the second one. Will have to try that again lol thanks!
Fahrenheit 451 1984 Gattaca Equilibrium 12 Monkeys Franklyn (2009) Dark City To Kill a Mockingbird The Great Dictator also as far as books go i would mention that Obama's common core allowed book reading list removed 1984, farenheit 451 and to kill a mockingbird from public schools, so ofc naturaly you SHOULD read these since they DONT want you too.
lol im being downvoted
And yes, I don't know why they would remove these books from the common core. I remember reading To Kill a Mockingbird and I don't remember anything that could have been offensive..
because they dont want you to learn to reason and question.
True. They must be doing some real fucked up shit if they don’t even want us to THINK.
Loved all of these except for Franklyn and The Great Dictator which I haven't seen but will definitely add them to my list! Thank you!
franklyn can be skipped but for the love of god watch the great dictator.
Will do! The Dictator was an interesting one too. A bit stupid/controversial but likely emulates real dictators lol. He also throws in some interesting lines about Obama and Osama..esp since Osama was allegedly seen by that Parrot guy/Falconeer who made the documentary about Osama being alive.
Also I’m sure if we read 1984, they would not have gotten away with nearly the amount of shit they did. I’m sure it would wake a lot of people up to their plans.
Arlington Road
Just looking at the cast of this makes me want to watch it! Will definitely check it out, thanks
Would also like to note I love terry gilliam movies and have not heard of baron munchausen. Interesting!
Great list! And are you saying Dune is a documentary, or to watch the Dune documentary?? There are a lot of movies here I haven't seen, so I will definitely check these out. And extra kudos to P.O.D., Dracula Dead and Loving it, Highlander, Austin Powers, and They Live. There are a few lines in these movies that are in my and my SO's vocabulary
Jodorovsky's Dune is a documentary about the first guy given the rights to make a movie based on the novel. It’s production was a trip and a lot of the work ended up incorporated in movies like Alien and Star Wars after the Dune project fell through.
I ended up watching Max Steel last night and my Fire Stick stopped working half way through the movie. However, It was pretty good!
Just started this show on hbo, his dark materials, based on the golden compass books. It is very interesting you need this compass to detect what is true and what is lies and I wish to God I had one now. Happy viewing and thanks for this post!

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109813/
Also how the hell does one do a line break? This block text list looks terrible
I’d recommend the TV series Gravity Falls. It’s awesome for conspiracy nuts.
I think I watched a youtube video about this series and the occult symbolism in it. Haven't seen the show though, but will definitely check it out, thank you!
Given the conjunction tonight, and the fact most people are linking hilarious(ly bad, sometimes) movies, I’ll recommend
Jupiter Rising by the Whack-owskis
Some amazing symbolism if you can get past the zippity-do-bop plot and cgi lol
Do you mean Jupiter Ascending with Mila Kunis?
By the whack-owski brothers? I mean siblings? I mean sisters?
Ya that’s the one
Reptilians, greys, gods on jupiter and saturn, astrology aspects = DNA traits, time is most precious resource in universe, earth is a breeding ground to be harvested.
The story and acting are fuuuuuuuckkkkinnnng garrrbaaaggee
I know right? The perfect movie to encapsulate the idea of “hiding in plain sight”. Wrap the truth in a fiction so ridiculous that any discussion of the root truth can be dismissed with “ what, you mean like that stupid fucking movie with mila kunis? LOL”
Hey I like zippity do bop plots lol, but I looked it up on IMDB, is it a TV show?
I mixed up the name, like the other guy mentioned, it’s called Jupiter Ascending with Mila Kunis, and it’s a movie, or I guess it’s a documentary technically speaking
Oh yeah that’s a good one! I never understood why they made Channing Tatum a werewolf but I mostly liked the plot. Sorttttt of like hitchhikers guide with a romantic twist, I guess.
Hahaha, also similar in that it likewise tells you the answer to life, the universe, and everything, without actually telling you.
This site really is a joke...
Blow it out your ass jorge
GOD DAMNIT, GEORGE.
