I posted a link to this community in an anti-covid lockdown sub-reddit and all I got was neck losers replying how they "Don't need a safe space". Even after explaining the benefits of an open and free place to discuss conspiracy related ideas without fear of censorship these fools can only reply with insults.
Fuck em' we're probably better off without those types anyways.
I try not to be a dick head on the internet but these types of people make it so hard, especially when you look at their profile and they turn out to be skinny fat nerds who probably only have power in this world when they use reddit, it's more sad than anything when you discover that.
Anyways, I'm hoping we can make this a more open space where instead of belittling we can have genuine debate if we disagree, I will say so far so good, people seem to be more mature here.
Reddit has very much become a site where one goes to to post their opinion among like-minded individuals to seek out validation and get upvoted for it. It never really was a good place for discussion because of the upvote/downvote system and they forced their demographic into basically being primarily Bernie Bros/hard lefties.
At this point main subreddits are astroturfed to high hell and you can't tell if you're actually having conversations with honest folk or actors that purposely try to push their views to the top. /r/conspiracy's days were pretty much numbered because of that, as any subreddit that pushes free thought and anti-establishment views will eventually get shuttered or silenced by Reddit.
What made it so much worse was the removal of showing how many upvoted and downvoted each comment.
Now you just get -10 score, or whatever. There's a huge difference if you had 10 people downvote you vs 80 up and 90 down.
The idea was to demoralise people who get downvoted all the time into the negatives so that they would leave the sub/site and then groupthink set in.
Now you have no idea just how many people are engaging with your comments any more.
And when that doesn't work, the reddit "anti-evil" team will just ban your account
Your account will be permanently banned within a day or two if you post any of these links:

Is this not a place for posting your opinion among like minded individuals?
Sure but I wouldn’t expect to be banned for going against the grain here like on Reddit. There is a difference.
Yes but at least here I can assume most posters are being genuine/honest and aren't just trying to brigade posts and derail threads like bad faith actors, which has been a regular thing happening on /r/conspiracy for some time now.
No I fully expect this site to allow for a diversity of opinions.... which is the opposite of space for "like minded individuals".
I wasted 9 years on that site. It was really fun and dynamic in the beginning - so many interesting and diverse ideas. Sure there were less savory boards like fat people hate but you could just not go there if you didn't like it. I remember first learning about shils when I posted about monsanto in ~2013 on conspiracy and all these people came out of the woodwork to defend the company. Shilling and banning becoming all too common over the years. I really lost my respect when Sanders for President was banned only moments after the 2016 DNC. Then the censorship really ramped up. I eventually sought other free-speech boards. If reddit hadn't overplayed their hand, I would have remained and might still be a clueless berner.
Let's not mince words. Reddit is 10% owned by the CCP, minimum!
I've never seen or heard of any account being banned for criticizing the Chinese Communist Party.
On the other hand, you are guaranteed to have your account banned if you post evidence based, rational arguments (without using ethnic slurs or abusive language) supporting the idea that the ruling class of our society promotes a System of Jewish Supremacy
You are very likely to be banned if you point out that Jewish Supremacist ruling class has captured all major institutions of power and influence.
They use this control over the institutions to control the information and indoctrinate the public with beliefs that serve the ethnic interests of ruling class:
They control the Corporate media:
From "Jewish Insider News" - Major News Outlets are Zionists Organizations
From "The Times of Israel" - Jews DO control the media
Israel dominates the media
And it's not just the corporate media. Who controls the Film/TV/Documentary industry?
The LA Times - Zionists run Hollywood Backup: https://archive.vn/hADYf
From "The LA Times" - Hollywood was founded by Jews backup: https://archive.vn/IiZ9m
And who control the political system?
AIPAC admits that it dominates BOTH major political parties
President Biden Stacks his Cabinet with globalist Jewish Supremacists
7 of top 10 political donors are Zionists
US Jews contribute half of all donations to the Democratic Party and 25% of donations to the Republican National Convention
Zionist Sheldon Adelson to donate $100m to Trump and Republicans
What about Wall Street?
Jewish supremacists form a third of billionaires in the USA
Forbes: 11.6% of world's billionaires are Jews, totally admired by China, Korea
Zionist Domination of Banking/Wall Street
And the University System?
Zionists/Jewish Supremacists Dominate Universities

Pro vaccine and corona hysteria posts in every single fucking sub. You'd be on r/pancakes and you'd still have to deal with some neckbeard 100xguilded post about covid or some SJW rethoric. Also the "I fucking love science" attitude while completely ignoring modern geopolitics, history, etc. cringeworthy at the minimum.
I is amazing how effective the "anti-vax bad" rhetoric has been though. I can't even mention the word to my wife without her going ballistic. It is really fucking crazy how conditioned she is to just snap at anything going against the vax narrative. Even when presented with evidence, she just doesn't want to see it. She is otherwise a very rational person. It really is mind boggling.
Fuck the ADL
How is a place that bans less people a "safe space"
Only bans I've seen has been individual posting links to malicious websites
It isn't, they're just desperate for an opportunity to be smug.
You aren't open minded based on what you believe, but how you process and apply new information. I try to tell people this and they just don't get it anymore. Starting to seem like most people are beyond saving.
You're noticing that too, huh?
reddit sucks balls. Nearly all the subreddits are just all idiot echo chambers.
Their minds have been poisoned by the (((owners of Reddit))) and platforms like (((YouTube))) and (((Facebook))) and our mainstream media and the Democrat leadership: (((Schumer))), (((Schiff))), (((Nadler))), (((Feinstein))) and Pelosi and (((George Soros'))) Antifa and BLM domestic terrorists.
It shouldn't matter what religion or race these people are, but they make it matter because they're all working together to kill America from within, like a cancer.
I would like to share with you all a comic detailing the downfall of many social forums such as digg and now reddit.

RIP Digg! I remember those days.
I think they destroyed themselves though with too much advertising and a UI that was way too different buI get the point
Yes you just described axo and the other mods.

I only ever used reddit for gaming. Even that had some bad actors in it.
Made a new account over the summer, I was surprised I needed a certain amount of points to comment on more popular posts. It was actually recommended via reddit I frequent lesser accounts to build up those points.
I find that everyone is so coo coo in the comments. Gonna Dox myself but I follow a Wilmington thread because I like to see what's going on in my favorite town. There was a UNCW teacher who was very conservative, ended up committing "suicide", I'm still skeptical on the whole thing. Basically a lot of people were happy about it, absolutely disgusting.
That's really tragic. Wilmington is a cool town, it seems like they've had some trouble lately. I haven't been in over 15 years but it's probably my favorite town I've seen in NC. My reddit account is super old so I didn't know you needed points to comment.
I haven't gone this year with Covid, they really made it a point to not welcome out of Towners in the beginning. I'm afraid of what that town will look like after this. There's a lot of cute towns along the coast. Should check out South Port, it's a fraction size of Wilmington but it's very quaint.
Yeah comment thing is censoring in itself. I had an old account, wish I had access to it... Mostly made the account to drop info but seems like I would of been banned anyways.
100%
I doubt this place is any different
The entire fucking planet sucks. What do you me to say? Humans are awful. With that said, you really can't be upset over comments on the internet. It's literally the least of our concerns.
your missing the point
No, I'm not. I'm annoyed at everyone for constantly whining about the stupidest shit. Twitter, FB, Reddit, and YT are brand names for easily built technologies. They're not even useful technologies. They're anti-useful. They're like candy or Monday night football. It's just some stupid ass drama to keep us from being bored.
Lifestyle is a choice. Cultural norms and opportunities prevent us from living an interesting life. Hell, a huge portion of Americans would turn in their neighbor for having a rooster or building without a permit. Virtually everyone thinks taxes and public education are beneficial. Fuck em. In the end, everyone gets what they asked for.
I agree and disagree, I think individual people are amazing and reasonable creatures that if you have a 1 on 1 discussion you can really make progress.
However, when you put people in a group they revert to savages and act according to the lowest common denominator.
Put that group on the internet where there's anonymity and you really can't expect anything other than the worst of humanity.
I definitely agree with you on this. Individuals are typically awesoe. Groups are idiots.
