There is distortion in everything including lenses, windows, the air and your eyes. So if you measure anything and just assume no distortion you will be wrong. You need to measure the distortion and remove it with some model or error map or at least estimate it and adjust the confidence interval of your measurements.

Light bends all the time as it passes through air. That's why stars twinkle. That's why the road a mile ahead looks like water on a hot day.

So living with some unrelated teen boy for a decade is totally normal? Even if it doesn't concern you it's more than "literally zero" evidence.

I have seen posts on Reddit from women getting baseball sized blood clot periods that are still telling people to get the vaccine.

I am one of the retarded ones. Can you explain what this diagram is supposed to prove? How do you determine "eye level" and the horizon? What distance and height is the white line? Are you using a level or other instruments? I seriously have no idea what this is supposed to show.

The conspiracy is how did education get so bad that many people cannot even understand basic trigonometry.

Go find a basketball court. Light a candle and put it anywhere on the court. Hold your phone anywhere else on the court floor. If you can take a picture of the candle it means the earth ain't flat buddy.

Bill Cosby pretty much financed the start of the blaxploitation films that glamorized being a badass thug drug dealing pimp criminal standing up to the man. You know, an authentic black like Saint Floyd.

Sentence subjects that have independent nouns connected by "and" are plural. An example of a singular subject would be something like "macaroni and cheese is in short supply" because it is referring to a single product.

Look up the tracking number on the UPS site and it should show if they scanned something.

2
Ask_Dave 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's weird if they didn't require a signature. Did they scan your ID? The shipment could have been accidentally marked as "adult signature" required. The website says "UPS will obtain the recipient's signature or other electronic acknowledgement" so maybe they scanned your ID or something.

The signature is an option that you pay for. The reason is because some people will claim they never got the product or they will claim it came damaged. When they sign they agree the product arrived and also verify there is no appearant shipping damage. Some people will order a product and then ask for a refund claiming it didn't arrive or they will return a damaged product.

They are real but they are flat like a stingray. The rest is CGI. I am a member of the Flat Shark Society.

This theory is so dumb I am having difficulty comprehending it. So if I turn on a single light and place a volleyball anywhere in the room I should always see a "full" volleyball with no shadow, is that it?

Covid isn't a hoax but only high risk people should get vaxxed.

Ask_Dave 10 points ago +10 / -0

It's really not everyone else. It's mostly sick old people who are at risk. So they are asking 200 million young healthy people to risk shingles, blood clots, stroke, infertility, auto immunity, etc. to allow 400 thousand old people to live a few more years. For every old person at less risk hundreds are needlessly put at more risk. And in the end if the vaccines are leaky they put us all at more risk just so pharma can make money. Hey, here's an idea... maybe only the high risk people should be allowed to get vaccinated.

Trump's legacy is an unconstitutional ban on a plastic part as the result of an alleged shooting by a man with no motive in a case that was explained in a way that was impossible based on the laws of physics.

I don't think you have much legal recourse unless you have a religious conviction or anxiety disorder that prevents your compliance to the test. If that is the case then perhaps they could be persuaded to make reasonable accommodation like a temperature test.

This idea that there are numerous frivolous lawsuits filed is just a myth. Yes spilling coffee on yourself is your own folly. However it is a foreseeable folly that if you sell millions of cups of coffee a day people will spill on themselves. So if it is more likely than not that giving them extremely hot coffee with no warning will make their folly worse then you have liability. Again, just because a small number of frivolous lawsuits are shown in the media does not mean it is the norm. It's very similar to all the tragic covid deaths of young people the media would show last year. They love to publicize the exception and ignore the norm.

Most people drink coffee at about 130°. Some people ask for extra hot which is about 150°, so it will still be hot when they get to the office. McDonald's was serving their coffee at 190° with no warning it was that hot. The little old lady who ended up in the hospital with skin grafts and two years of rehabilitation asked for $10,000 to help pay for her medical bills. McDonald's offered her $800.

Everyone has a story about lights in the sky but the most consistent stories where something actually changes are about UFOs and Nukes compiled by Hastings. Perhaps the aliens prevented us from launching WW3.
