Where are you guys getting such low numbers from.

Now its something like 200 cases spread over a few states.

Thus far, the CDC has reported 164 measles cases this year compared to 285 cases all of last year (which was the highest total since 1,274 in 2019.) More generally, measles cases in the U.S. have been on the rise, and the overall trend of growing risk is unmistakable.

Omg were talking about hundreds out of MILLIONS, unless there are 10000 cases, there is no rise.

Of course a good chunk of these people are children who cant be completely vaccinated yet. I think the actual pool of unvaccinated people of age is pretty small. Sounds like quite a few people caught this strain even while having all 3 doses of mmr.

However, this got me good. Reading the comments on a reddit thread about how they are sending 20,000 doses to texas. Which supports my theories these are mostly children of migrants who are getting/spreading it. Not the anti vaxxers.

https://www.reddit.com/r/news/comments/1j0v9um/us_health_secretary_kennedy_to_send_texas_2000/

Someone linked this article about the dangers of anti vaxxers.

https://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/articles/news/health-science/2022/08/23/431509/health-experts-say-there-has-been-a-decline-in-vaccinations-among-kids-in-texas/

According to the Immunization Partnership, 60,000 kindergartners across the State of Texas are behind on vaccinations and 85,000 children are not vaccinated.

"Between the last pre-pandemic school year and the start of last school year, we have seen a dramatic decline in vaccinations for kindergartners," said Terri Burke, Executive Director for the Immunization Partnership.

Burke said there are many reasons for the decline in vaccinations like the lack of access to healthcare, parents not wanting to take their children to the pediatrician in fear of their kids becoming sick, and misinformation.

Just casually drop this a couple paragraphs below.

According to health experts in Houston, immigrant families who have migrated to the Houston area from other countries are the first ones to have their children vaccinated and to make sure they’re up to date.

Thirty percent of children in the State of Texas are immigrants or come from immigrant families.

"They often come from countries where they have seen first hand the devastation of these diseases that are easily preventable with a vaccine," said Dr. Vicki Regan, Vice President of Women’s and Children’s Service Line at Children’s Memorial Hospital.

Despite vaccines being cheaper in places like mexico, people are poorer, and cant afford them, thats why legal migrants get vaccinated as soon as they come in.

The "undocumented migrants" I doubt are getting free vaccines, hence why they sent 20000 doses to texas.

Cant miss a opportunity to paint anti vaxxers as being the root of everyones problems though. Fucking moron normys.

Very end of the article, this random line says alot more than a normal person would think.

Before the pandemic, doctors said there were measles cases in Mexico, but the rates have declined.

Manufactured outrage.

While I don't doubt that the majority of the spike is illegals, I wouldn't count out a growing anti-vaxx sentiment in the general population. Anyone paying attention is forced to conclude that, at best, public health has little to no evidence informing them of anything they do, including childhood vaccination.

I stopped taking my kids (albeit older) because every shot I research seems to be pointless. Even meningitis, which is pretty serious, only seems to protect against the targetted strains while, at the same time, increasing the prevalence of the other strains to the point that you're more likely to get the disease if you get the shot.

I'd also like to point out that things like chicken pox, measles, and even polio, are dangerous to adults with no immunity but pose little risk to children. If mostly kids are getting these diseases, it's not really a big deal. Of course, they always try to make it look worse by including infants, who are at a higher risk of serious complications.

Measles isn't contagious or the cause of illness virus theory is obviously wrong. Read.
