They are all sick. The worst part is they knew how destructive and enslaving their ideology was and still advocated for it. This is what evil looks like.
He wrote that one back in 1931. Later he wrote The Impact of science on society which is equally deranged. He knew what the plan was because he was one of the main figures behind it along with fellow RS members H.G. Wells and the Huxleys.
Tolkien and C.S. Lewis also knew those guys and opposed them. The evil powers in their books are based on the NWO RS gang (Wells literally wrote a books called The New World Order and The Open Conspiracy). Orwell was part of that circle too but got disillusioned and exposed the plan in his 1984.
Have you read Lewis' Space Trilogy? The last book That Hideous Strength is literally about the NWO demons and how they managed to establish a One world technocratic government on Earth and how the protagonist (who's based on Tolkien) saves humanity. He emphasizes the spiritual nature of the war and reveals the technocrats are taking orders from demon-like beings, basically Satan.
He's not. It's a facade many people in those circles put on. He's anticipating the critique of his position which is that society should be based on technocratic and scientific terms. It's the same with Aldous Huxley who acts all worried about the possibility of a Brave New World emerging while advocating for mass-drugging of society, eugenics and technocracy.
They are all liars and say things like that for plausible deniability as if they don't work towards the thing they warn against.
Animal implies animation...faith tempts one to ignore that by holding onto what one believes one can own.
science as a technique for the transformation of ourselves and our environment
Science/scio - "to know; to perceive" implies the transformation of ones perception as matter within the motion of all perceivable.
Technique/tekhnē - "art" implies the artificial suggestions by others tempting one to ignore perceivable reality.
asking ourselves questions as to the nature of reality
The nature of reality moves ones life from inception towards death...a question/quest - "seeking to gain" tempts ones life to aim at death. The suggested answers by others tempt one to ignore that the reality of a moving nature implies a "solution" inspiring needed resistance, while tempting wanted ignorance.
must be viewed with apprehension
Apprehension implies "a seizing upon, laying hold of" aka faithfully holding onto beliefs suggested by others, while ignoring that the reality of a moving nature cannot be held onto by anyone being moved within it.
society in its pure form
A moving nature implies purification (inception towards death) of impurities (life)...society implies the collectivization of impurities, which makes it harder for each partial to resist the temptation of ongoing natural purification.
In other words...all of nature splits apart into each one being. Simultaneously the moving nature heals each temporary wound within by moving together (inception towards death) that which split apart (life).
Truly the stuff of nightmares.

What book is that? I have one of his philosophy books somewhere.
It's the Scientific Outlook, p.198

Yes, a few times, I've also copied them here on scored by chapter for discussions.
Pardon my ignorance I don't know who he is. But it sounds like he's being critical of science, not supporting it?
