What did you notice when changing out music to non-lyrical?
Thoughts are pervasive.
Words are thoughts.
Lyrics are words that are other people’s thoughts.
So, while driving, for instance, your mind just wanders. So more of you, and less of (insert artist(s) here)
There’s also something mathematical about music that speaks to the soul, and without words, it seems to change the whole experience. It’s meditative to put on some good classical music and just close your eyes… but you have to find what resonates with you, which instruments, composers, etc.

You can find any well known classical composition in about a thousand different arrangements. Solo piano, string quartet, full orchestra, etc.
