Since someone mentioned "Brave" and "Yandex" as alternatives for the coming search results removal you can anticipate in the controlling information Great Reset --> let me remind you that Brave and Yandex are not on your side either. Brave serves trend$ not freedom. (media.scored.co)

(more) Also from what ayh understand, they are not longer crawling on their own and instead are like Duck etc, where they aggregate from Bing Yahoo and Google, which means their data is filtered beforehand.

Ayh do not trust System1 (who owns metacrawler) They have been celebrated by Microsoft (as recently as last year) and partnered with weird organizations and has revenue from strange sources.

Well when im searching for stuff in the now, I already face the problem that google is very highly curated and seems to be mostly narrated by AI guiding you where it wants you to go.

Duckduckgo used to be decent, but its just as bad as google now.

Yandex still shows me alot of the results im looking for, I assume because its still actually controlled by russia who prolly doesnt have such a vested interest in hiding the truth.

Google News ayh like for getting the propaganda so ayh know what not to trust :)

Duck is just Bing but even more filtered

Again it all depends on what you look for. Ayh imagine you are smart enough to already know what exists online so if you are looking for specific news, then its best to search actual sites. If you are looking for any thing else non (((compromised))) then doesn't matter.

Ayh think by this time we over conflate just what we even need search engines for when most every one gets their information from places they frequent like here or other forums etc.

Brave search is fucking broken. All my results are years old, even when addind 2024 in the query i get pre 2020 results. The browser is pretty decent, bit the search engine is horrible.

Im trying out yep.com now.

What are you searching that it matters?

How would you know one is better than another if entire swaths of data is removed or hidden?

38% of the internet has been wiped since 2013(g)

If it can't be used offline, then it shouldn't be built into anything. All it should offer is a bookmark button for it's page.
