This assumes the American army and the Jews behind it have invincible omnipotent powers which I think they no longer have.
The purpose of the Afghanistan or Iraq war wasn't about opiates or oil. Those are lubricants to grease the traitors. Iraq was about the greater Israel project.
We should consider the possibility that the US army is losing the ability to project its power just like Rome at its last stages. They may have also felt it reasonable that the Taliban could be the lesser of 2 evils for whatever reason.
Plausible, but the fentanyl is coming in from China into the US as part of their 5th Gen warfare. I think that undercuts this quite a bit.
Recently the cartels have been importing raw ingredients from India and synthesizing it themselves. The cartels have also been importing CNC machines from India and manufacturing their own AR-15s. China plays a major role, but India is starting to gain market share

There was a video posted here about china pretending to be too if the line military. Like drone food delivery was an example, but the food gets sold before it gets to the soldiers. They make due stealing from different departments.

"They" didn't abandon Afghanistan, but were driven out. Why would "They" ever give up a state, failed or otherwise? The struggle actually continues to this day.

That election was to replace President Hamid Karzai, who apparently could speak more plainly after he left office. He said something like, "Al Qaeda doesn't exist. In ten years as president, I never saw a single intelligence report.that mentioned them."
So hey, even if he hadn't been barred from a third term, under no circumstances was that guy ever going to get reelected.
