Just as a theoretical question, I've wondered if there was a single person who could say, "I was against taking the vaccine, but based on what Donald Trump said I took it and something bad happened."
Maybe there are some, but not many and I've certainly never seen it documented. If that's the case, then it's hard to pin a lot of blame on him. People sure do it anyway, though.
They'd rationalize it differently and jump through hoops to take the blame away from him. It surely happened but I doubt anyone took it explicitly because Trump endorsed it - they'd rather say some bs like "no one knew back then" or "covid was very dangerous and it was a tough call" or "Trump got lied to by Fauci, Gates and the CDC". Anything but blaming it on their dear leader.
100%
Great take.
Thanks. It's the same psychological mechanism the libtards exhibit towards their big pharma idols even when they and their family suffer serious damage from the poison. It's a perverted Stockholm syndrome kinda thing - easy to criticize when the other side does it but magatards fail the self-awareness litmus test.
Yes, I know of such people who specifically took it because Trump said to and had adverse reactions.
But you also have to remember, people weren't getting it just for a free burger from shake shack either, it was the totality of voices proclaiming its merits and trying to make it look attractive that coerced many people to take it. So I'm sure there are many more who were partially influenced by Trump.
It sounds like you want to avoid giving Trump any culpability while he continues to promote the shots that even most libtards have given up on promoting or talking about
Is it possible that making up facts is what SmithW1984 was referring to as "jumping through hoops"?
For everyone reading this, is the "reasoning" we are shown not fascinating?
Sorry if contradicting the enormous benefit of the doubt you've given Trump made you big sad. You could acknowledge the fact that there are people who took it specifically because he said it, or you could acknowledge that it was an entire blitz of messaging from every direction that coerced many into taking the shots. Presumably you lived through that time and observed it, but perhaps that's too big of an assumption to you as well.
What Smith was referring to was how people who did take it due to his influence would deny it because they, much like yourself, can't bear to cast any aspersions against beloved Trump
Wow, after it was specifically pointed out such "facts" were not presented, simply asserted. And now doubling down on the irrationality.
For anyone reading this, you should be trying to learn how the human mind actually works in many people by carefully examining it's operation. It is other than what you assume.
As a pointer here, if someone begins with the conclusion, "reasoning" is simply reverse-engineered to back it up. Even "facts" may be brought into existence, and others vanished from consciousness. The conclusion can never be contradicted, you see?
