When I left my dog with my spouse for almost a year, I noticed when I came back that he looked like he was feeling terrible. Terrible runny poops.
First thing I did was stop feeding him the dry kibble and feed him stuff like beef/chicken/rice. I never gave him shit like white bread or anything like that.
He looked better immediately. Like within a few weeks. Took about 6 months before his poops were normal again. My partner I guess missed it because it was happening slowly every day.
Anyway it was about a few months later it come out that the food had bacteria in it or maybe it was the propol glycol they use in it. The dose is the poison right.
In a statement, Purina said propylene glycol is a safe food additive.
“Beneful is made with high-quality human food-grade levels or above propylene glycol,” the company said last year. “This ingredient has been approved by the FDA as safe for years for use in dog foods and a variety of human foods including ice creams, salad dressing and cake mixes.”
The level of mycotoxins detected “were well below the levels set by FDA,” the company said.
Then there was the issues of euthanasia drugs getting in the dog food, making it harder to put them down at the end. Now exactly how does that happen lmao?
Just from the horses and the odd sick cow they put down on the farm? Or maybe they are feeding dogs recycled fucking dogs. UGH. If they do this to our pets, what do people think they are doing to us, but most people dont believe it. It makes sense to me, how many pets exist on this planet? They are just as useless as us useless humans. It doesnt make sense to feed them quality things so they live longer. It makes more sense to do the opposite.

I had a small mix, he ended up living another 10 years after the dog food almost killed him. At one point when I was still working he ended up needing surgery. He was filled with about 10,000 stones. Like little fucking bb's from the tip of his dick all the way to his bladder. Poor guy, the vet who did it was new and didnt think the dog would make it, but he survived another 5 years after that. Lost him a few years back, so no shocker my vitamin d isnt as high as it used to be. Having a dog is proably the best thing you could do for low vitamin d. That assumes your actually walking them properly. I was out for about 20-40 minutes every day in the sunshine even when working night shift.
I just fucking hate getting attached to things just to watch them die or disappear. I am to old and to tired at this point to do it anymore.
I say relatively recently because I believe the veterinary medicine industrial complex has become a major money maker within the last 20 years. I'm glad you saw through the bullshit and saved your animal friend but from one Internet stranger to another I've personally seen what happens to older people when they lose the bond and responsibility a pet requires. I try not to think of the loss but of the gift that preceded it and most of the time it's easier said than done.
Yep....vets have gone the way of doctors....it's all about the money. There's a process for everything and you have to go through a wallet emptying process before they can treat your animal. Biggest scam now is they want to give the rabies shot every year. When I was growing up in the '70's it lasted their whole life....now they have a one year shot and a two year shot....what a scam....
You'd think in a society where pets have filled the role of children for a lot of middle aged women that killing pets would be the straw that broke the camels back but not so much it appears.
It used to be that pet food had real meat in it. Not so anymore.....just simulated meat....and my cat won't even eat most of it....and quite frankly I don't blame him....
I think there's something about or in bread that is making everyone sleepy and fat.....IDK what it is but......it's there....that and high fructose corn syrup.....
