This is whats stuck in their heads, maybe not chiseled in stone but slapped on with a permanent marker. They want us to be wrong and them to be right because the opposite is too horrible to contemplate. Because they don’t want to contemplate, they want to be right.

Its very hard for most people to step back and look at something from all angles. We all have our flaws and biases but the number one rule should be always be skeptical. If someone truly wants the best for you, they wont mind you taking time to mull it over. If they wont allow you to think about it, MASSIVE red flag.

The overwhelming majority of people in this world do not want the responsibility of thinking for themselves. Thinking for ones self means making your own choices which means living with the consequences of said choice. This means that if said choice was incorrect, you have no-one to blame but yourself.

Why go through all that hassle when you can just blindly obey and then complain and blame others when it doesn't go your way?
