And what are the odds of making your presence known using Nitter and other alternatives? Are the people, the wide folk you want to awaken so much there? Also are you sure those are not honeypots funded by Trump or Bannon?

Absolutely same as odds of making your presence known using Twitter/Facebook/any_other_crap. No social media platform started with already existing millions of users. So the only difference is a will of user to suck a dick of some corporation, nothing more.
If you have such question, you don't even tried to find out how things really work. You absolutely don't need any funding to run any service with possibilities equal to those of all that social crap.
