while I am not convinced that the Earth is flat, I do have a big problem with stars. I was trying to model stars while working with 3-D programs and when working with the distances involved there was no way the light from those stars could have reached the earth, especially through the Oort cloud and the Kuiper belt and all of the rogue planets that are supposedly more numerous than the stars floating in space. The particles in our own atmosphere should block any star light even if nothing else out in space did.
I requested information regarding this conundrum to some astronomers and two of them were unable to explain it while the third one spent some time doing the math and agreed that it really shouldn't be visible through our atmosphere.
My first thought on why they would lie about the distances in space was that the odds of meeting alien life if stars were much much closer would be much much higher. At this point I have no idea what stars are, or space, because NASA has been caught green screening too many times to believe anything they've said.
so while I have no idea what shape the Earth is or what is going on with cosmology, I do believe that this big production they are putting on to convince us that space is what they say is at the core of all conspiracies.
As for the program, it just put me on the path to noticing this conundrum. The rest is something anyone can figure out without a phd. You can block the sun with your thumb held out at arms length. Now move approx 90trillion km away to the nearest star. How large of an object would it take to hide it? A little smaller than your thumb? No, it would take less than a spec of dust at that distance; and that is the closest star.
I wasnt joking about sharing this information with astronomers and getting a blank. Stars should not be visible at the distances claimed.

Thus, left to itself the pendulum would swing in shorter and shorter arcs until after a few hours it will decrease almost to zero. To keep the Foucault Pendulum going, one must replace the energy lost with each swing. This can be done by giving the pendulum a little "kick" with each swing.
To do this, two iron collars are attached to the cable near the top. There is a doughnut-shaped electromagnet built into the ceiling, and the iron collar swings back and forth inside the hole of the doughnut.
